Of the 50,000 available on Apple's App store probably only about 1,000 of them are of any use (and that's being generous). I spent rather a lot of money on iPhone apps and actually only used about 10 of them on a regular basis. Most of the others were a complete waste. I'm a late BlackBerry convert but I think with the Bold, RIM have the current best smartphone. I'm looking forward to seeing their second attempt at touchscreen when the Storm 2 arrives.The first Storm was an interesting failure that had some good ideas but ultimately became an exercise in masochism to use for an extended period. If they get it right, they will be able to compete with the iPhone and see off the Pre.

The title is more than appropriate for the film. The whole thing is broken. Vague dull story accompanied by vague dull acting from all concerned really. The only trace of excitement in the entire film is the breaking mirror at the party. Every scene is excruciatingly dragged out for what seems like hours. Even Lena getting her kit off can't liven up what is probably the most mind-numbingly boring film I've seen for years. I think writer/director Sean Ellis did a pretty awful job with this and appears to be more at home shooting a London travelogue.

Actually after the first 15 minutes I was fondly recalling the doggie flashback from the original Hills 2. Any film that can achieve that....Need I say more?

Possibly the most excruciatingly awful cinematic experience I've ever had. Absolutely nothing to recommend it whatsoever. Cage should be locked away somewhere and never allowed near a film set again.

Not to mention the Randolph Scott / Budd Boetticher stuff. Seven Men From Now is a classic of the genre.

I thought it got off to a pretty poor start really. Two badly written, poorly directed, derivative episodes that didn't hook me at all. It takes the whole of episode one to introduce an extremely bland "team" (apart from the irritatingly smug Captain Jack Harkness and the just plain annoying Owen Harper) in extremely clunky fashion. The best thing in the episode is the Weevil which is introduced and then largely ignored.
I'd hoped episode two would improve matters, but unfortunately things just get worse. I suspect this is on BBC3 because the only audience it's going to get are the Doctor Who fanboys and it would probably receive a critical mauling if it aired on BBC1. There's still time for this series to improve, but it needs a lot more originality in it's plotlines. A slow start like this would have doomed it to failure if it was shown in the US.
