I use Firefox but yeah, many people use IE, so you have to accommodate them. Good post- will file it along with the long line of IE bugs and quirks.

Wow, that is crazy. I think the big problem is not really that it can aggregate all these other sites' info (all of that is publicly available), but that pretty much everyone has a "Google twin" (or many many more), like you mentioned.

I have all my pics stored in one folder and just create individual folders for each event, with event name and date. I also use Picasa.

I don't take a ton of pictures like you though. 300 gigs!??!?! Wow!

I'm not sure what kind of accuracy I get with Google mail, but it has to be very high! It is rare that I find something in Spam that isn't spam.

Google mail for your domain works great.
