What's with all the dark stuff, this guy is a real turn-off! Do interviews of people who are positive artists please. Enough of this music for sad rich kids.

He doesn't want to sound the same and continues to change things he says, but his auto-tune thing is in everything he does, so he DOES sound the same! He can't sing!

If there's one thing I've learned from working in software, it's that what the customer wants and what they ask for can be completely different things.
It's my opinion that these computer generated climate models that the alarmist love to tout are a result not of giving the customer what they asked for, but rather what they want.
Politically motivated studies serve one purpose, and that is to justify policy.
Handing politicians complete control over our energy supplies is giving them absolute power over our lives.

in Interview Questions: Two Bowling Balls | 20bits on 20bits
Those are some intelligent, logical solutions you've provided. Kudos on your cleverness and ability to figure that out on the spot in an interview setting.
I probably would have turned the question around on the interviewer and asked how resilient the bowling ball needed to be? Did it need to survive 10 floors? 15? Why were we doing the resiliency test in the first place? Developers who take the requirements at face value without understanding the motivation aren't nearly as valuable as the ones who can see past what is being asked for and find a simpler solution that delivers the underlying need.
If it turned out we just needed it to survive falling from 15 stories, I would have dropped one ball from the 15th floor window and if it survived it passed our test otherwise it didn't. One step, and we save a ball.

Fear not, I got stuck on the first one too. It gets easier until about the fourth level. Then all bets are off.

Ever so slightly let down. Granted I tried belling La Bouche. No amount of Walken can fix that mess.

You probably did in recovery mode, put in DFU mode and repeat the whole process, then it should work. For further info on the difference, check out google and youtube

"the iPhone SDK and Google’s Android both have the most momentum when it comes to offering meaningful ways for third party developers to build mobile applications. Taking into account their out-of-the-gate lead, the name of Microsoft’s offering already seems a little ironic"
You are kidding right? How does the iPhone and Android have an out of the gate lead?
Symbian, Windows Mobile, et al have been on the market for years with millions of devices sold and thousands of applications in the market place.

Of course you're right about the incumbents having a market lead, and having offered opportunities for third-party developers.
My point is that Android and the iPhone SDK are the most promising for developers now. All are gaining market share. They, and RIM, are the most focused on providing useful tools to third-party developers and funding them. The others, meanwhile, have a mixed history of working with developers, don't you think?

Before you freak out (oops, too late), this functionality is no different than a web cam, if you add AppleScript/Javascript/WhateverScript to upload to a web server.
Big deal.
