Great post Jenn. I get this from people all the time and they just don't get it. As a new media consultant (or even interactive agencies), I think its perfectly ok to hold their hand while they learn and ultimately jump into a community. Maybe direct their tweets and help them with their blog- be a muse, so to speak but ultimately its up to the brand and company to be control of their online presence and their social web reputation.

Nice tips, Kat. I find it especially helps me to have a time schedule of my entire day, then have a timer go off when I have to switch tasks (I tend to get into this state of flow that's hard to break). I also find I am more productive when I take a couple minutes between every hour or so to recollect myself, rather than try to plow through everything at one time. I pair those tips with some caffeine, and I'm good to go.

Great post. these sites are gorgeous (my favorite is Mint)... that's probably one of the reasons why they're actually well known. I'm always really surprised when I come across startups with terrible web designs. I think design should be as important as a business model!

Cool, Jeff! A RSS feed is really useful.

I like 12seconds, it is a fun little service. I wish there were a better way to connect users as quickly and as seamlessly as Twitter. Maybe one day we will be able to post 12second responses to our friends' posts, then have a visual map of those responses and their friends' responses and so on.
Oh, and the ability to make videos private/public and block users.

Thanks for posting this link. Its a neat little monitoring tool. This will be great for when I want to monitor a big event that is happening (whether it be political, weather related or even the reactions to the season finale of my favorite t.v shows....)
