in 10 Things You Could Do Better Today on Chris Brogan
Thanks for this Chris but shouldn't #1 be to decrease your response time so that things people are attended to faster or did you really mean to take longer to respond to requests.

If it's the latter, how can making people wait be better?

The sound when EVE holds the light bulb and makes it light up is clearly the sound of the Star Trek The Original Series phaser fire.

in Watch Your Ad Load Times on Chris Brogan
Hi Chris,

You're spot on the mark with this one. It's not the ad sellers that loose...it's the site owner...

I have a very short fuse for slow loading sites.

I'm sure there's some sort of ajaxy technology that could pull the ads in after the site loaded

in PSA: How to Respond to a Facebook Wall Post on AllFacebook
I wish the default action would be Wall-to-Wall...alas...it's left up to the user to actually READ... and we all know how that's gonna end up.

One thing that bugs me multiple requests to Causes and Applications. Hello...If I turned you down on Vampire Bites once...it's gonna happen again...and again... give it up... and don't get pissy with me about it. It's not a reflection on you...I'm not into all the novelty apps on Facebook.

I'll take a SuperPoke anyday from you!

in An Open Letter to Apple: Podcasts in the iTunes Wi-Fi Store, Please! on Financial Aid Podcast Weekly Internet Radio Show
Hey Chris,

This HAS to happen. Like you say...this would make it as easy as radio....for iPod touch and iPhone users....but apple leads the industry...if they offered that support, other vendors would indeed be forced to follow suit.

I fully support this initiative.

in Considering Social Network Etiquette on Chris Brogan
Chris,

You always write such great stuff.
Twitter, for me, is as much a creative outlet as podcasting is. A chance for me to participate in a way that's most comfortable as an ongoing conversation. I've intentionally "misused" the @'s in tweets to let others find the people I find interesting. It's not always about playing by the given rules. Are we nothing more than sheep? All these different sites are tools in our arsenal for social behavior...isn't that what we all strive for..to make connections with people.

As for stalkers, they will always exist, some people are just more needy of attention for any number of reasons, but the best way is as you say Chris, drop them quietly with no fanfare. As Whitney implies, it's just as easy to be kind as it is to be mean...I doubt many of the a-holes are reading your blog...

Thanks for this Chris. You have an excellent way of sharing.

Amen Chris.

Well thought out and well said.

You should submit this to their "contest".

in Super Powers Must be Taught on Chris Brogan
Hi Chris,

I pride myself as being the person people turn to when they need to know stuff. It started as a kid when I learned that not everyone remembers every thing they hear, see or read. That made me very useful and still does today.

Now it's my mad Ninja Googleness that works best for me.

in voice chat in SL on Chelpixie.com
Hey Chel,

I orginally thought that voice chat would be the best enhancement to SL. Haveing read your post and thought more about, I think I will pass on it. Sure it will have some use. It will be cool to do streaming from within SL and have more voices available in podcasts but aside from that I reckon (sorry for the southern reference, but it was the best word) it will be akin to party lines. Too many voices to make a conversation followable.

The number of times that I've been involved in a Skype chat within SL, I've found that I resort to text to express myself clearer. I know several podcasters that would benefit from voice conversations vs text since they suck at typing, but I think they are the exception to the rule.

I for one will continue to visit Nowhereville if there is voice there or not. It's all about the people that go there...not so much what's going on.
