I have Spanning Sync which syncs both ways with my iCal. When I make a change on my Phone, I can sync with my Mac, which in turn syncs with Google Calendar.

All of my email runs through gMail first (amazing & teachable junk filters!) before having them forwarded to an IMAP account that keeps all of my computers (yes, I occasionally use a PC) on the same page. I also use gMail for archiving all of my email (I even BCC it and have a rule for my mail to go into the "sent" category). But I still like to read it for the most part through my mail client(s).

Re: Coolness is optional, authenticity is not

Authenticity is a necessary but certainly not a sufficient condition.

p.s. I enjoy your blog!

Re: Got a kid headed to college? But I am feeling inspired.

Re: http://blog.inc.com/the-eco-capitalist/2008/04/will_your_customers_pay_to_go_1.html

You are not accounting for the "long tail". It may only be necessary to market to that 5%. Most people I know wouldn't pay a heck of a lot more for "green" or "organic" products, but companies like Whole Foods prove that somebody is (and somebody else can profit from it).

My guess is also that those 5 out of a 100 are growing and those companies poised to get their business will profit even more.

I agree that people are more interested in a remarkable product and that being "green" is but one of many factors that even people in that "5" would consider. It would, therefore, be lazy and foolish to have the "build it and they will come" mentality.

I would love to see slightly more "scientific" data on the subject.

Re: http://blog.inc.com/the-eco-capitalist/2008/06/should_green_products_be_price.html

While your price may be higher, I would think the "value" you provide may be higher as well. My wife and I try to buy only eco-friendly products and actually "feel" better when we do (and that's worth at least 70 cents). Maybe focus on dominating the eco cleaners, then as more and more people "go green" you can clean up!
