I know of a first degree murder attempt by a St. Petersburg Police Officer from the mid nineties. Documented. They charged the victim with 1 degree attempted assault upon a LEO, a sham, and then after several years forced the victim to plead "no contest," in exchange for walking away free. Some deal huh?

Presently I know of a case whereby a St. Petersburg Police Officer was found to have committed multiple acts of perjury relevant to said officer assaulting and/or using excessive force. The officer got a 10 year veteran of the jail, medical, to falsify medical report to the effect the victim was not injured. Then submits a report to the SAO stating the victim was not injured.

A photograph was recovered, that took some doing, taken by guards at the jail, showing the injuries. Said evidence irrefutably substantiates the officer: Committed perjury, falsified official records, and conspiracy to manufacture false evidence by enlisting the aid of county jail employee to generate false medical report. In fact further irrefutable evidence arose showing a pervasive pattern of systematic routine falsification of county jail inmate records.

It's all true and no one does a damn thing about it.

There is no Public Defender except in name only. Truly it represents a fundamental breakdown of the Adversarial Process. Don't forget the Police Union backed the curent PD, talk about a conflict of interest.

But I have said enough to likely be reprised against. Afterall, I am sure the SAO or some entity thereof, even law enforcement, keeps tabs on this board :)

You are right about law enforcement corruption and an SAO that covers up said corruption.

One thing you don't likely consider is that this is Crist's home town and there is no way the local corrupt politicians here will ever expose corruption in Crist's hometown.

Be bad publicity. Better to just shaft you cause they can.

You know that Crist will be our next Senator without even a vote being cast, it's a done deal.

I guess you can be questioned for whatever they want if you live in a police state ... which we don't, right? Yeah, right. Just take a look at the local papers to see the type of abuse of power the police, the DA and other public officials inflict on our society.

Best example: DA Morganelli throwing the Aussie Bike Coach in jail on BS charges as he runs for State AG then lets him free shortly after losing said election for lack of evidence.

THANK GOD for Barack being elected! This was an historic and monumental election where tens of thousands of people who previously never voted have demonstrated their committment for making the US a place that they and we can be proud of. I am so sick of people clinging onto the thought that there is a difference between loving your country and disagreeing with the goal of being a global "big brother." I've heard so many people who are die-hard republicans complaining about the democrats desire to care for the citizens of this country yet think that it is the US's responsibility to police the world. The majority of the arguments to this end that I have heard are based in pure ignorance and greed - greed that thier "wellearned money" is going to people who are "lesser" than them. I, for one, am excited at the opportunity for our country to finally be a nation that we can be proud of instead of waiting for the next shoe to drop.
