MD REG is out. Somehow passed with an 84. I have now passed the CPA Exam; on to the take-home ethics course.

I checked it multiple times because I am waiting for REG and I liked looking at the score. Between 2pm and midnight.

As I said before, I received NY Audit from the website yesterday afternoon. Today it is mysteriously gone.

I'm not that surprised. Toronto Island residents and lakeshore condo owners always hated the festival. They were bound to get their way eventually. I just really hope they don't put it in Downsview. Mabye find a field somewhere north of Toronto, make it a more European style fest? Probably never going to happen, but it would be nice.

Apparently Osheaga will release its lineup tomorrow or Wednesday.

All I got was a date. Last year we didn't get anything until almost mid-April though, so I'm not surprised.

I would personally be very happy if B-Live did not return. Also, like I said, the way he phrased it (B-Live will not be at Virgin Festival this upcoming September) gives me hope that VFest is still on.

Janey, I absolutely agree with you that one can debate without hurling insults. Although it is a rarity these days, from your two examples, it appears the culture of the "intellectual debate" is not dead.
The point I was making, and I think now belaboring, is that unsavory comments are not a new thing in public debate. In fact, parlimentary debate tends to employ this (Just watch the UK Parliament on CSPAN).
The "Obama Sucks" t-shirt is typical of what you see as problematic with public discourse, protest, etc. When given the opportunity for a group of people to express their discontent with the government in a civilized and "proper" manner along comes someone in some ridiculous t-shirt hoping to capitalize on the occasion to get attention. That is a bad thing. And so is all the yelling and ranting and Jerry Springer behaviour that poses as debate on cable news. Additionally, the shirt isn't even making a witty insult (Strike one - not witty. Strike two - self-serving).
You may disagree, but there used to be a day when the insult was used effectively in debate or public discourse to good effect (See: The Lost Art of the Insult).

I think the MSM isn't doing its work on this one because it doesn't fit the "Religious people bash gays" narrative.

Also, Snow Patrol is opening for U2's Toronto show, meaning that there would be no radius issues for Muse.

I wouldn't mind Muse playing again, they weren't nearly as popular back then as they are now. Having an act repeat this soon I think is okay if they have recently had a large boost in popularity.

Muse could headline without a doubt. Also, I think around 40000 people showed up last year, same as the year before. They were hoping for 45-50000.

I hope the lineup is out next monday. If its not, I would bet that VFest has been canclled.
