You all should just stop the bickering because once the "Monarch on the Merrimack" is completed and all the WEATHLY ACTORS, ACTRESS and MUSICIANS who are BEGGING to move into Lawrence come in, ALL the murders will STOP.

That's true. VERY good point. I just find it OUTRAGEOUS that Lawrence is 7 square miles and less than 100,000 people and STILL after DECADES AND DECADES AND DECADES AND DECADES can NOT get itself together not even SOMEWHAT. It's ridiculous. Lowell did it, Lynn did it and even though Lynn still has it's share of problems, my great Aunt is able to walk to the store again in a neighborhood, while was FLOODED with gangs, coke, dope and guns in the 90's. Even New York City cleaned itself up. NYC is now the SAFEST major city in the NATION. Even safer than Boston. Like I've said before, I think it's so sad, when I hear of people from East LA and Bed-Stuy (In Brooklyn) and also parts of Harlem and The Bronx, calling Lawrence a disgrace and a disgusting dump. Yet, people want to say "Oh Lawrence isn't that bad." Yes people, IT IS "THAT BAD." How can some of you delusional freaks sit and comment that "Lawrence isn't that bad" under a news story OF A MURDER? You have GOT to be joking. Lawrence is the EPITOMY of a corrupt, disgusting and uninhabitable PIT - All the way from the City Police, their Chief, the DPW and most of all.....The residents.

Please stop with the comparisons of NY and Lawrence. NYC is HUNDREDS UPON HUNDREDS of square miles and almost TEN MILLION PEOPLE. Lawrence is a SEVEN SQUARE MILE city of 72,000!!!

Don't try to break what I say down, b/c I speak LOGICALY. First off, I was NEVER arrested for MURDER. It was for possession of something that was never mine, b/c these gangbanging monsters decided to use me, w/o my knowledge to stash things, then call me out when police are investigating. However, like I said after the second time, I packed up my stuff and left THAT MINUTE. Let's say this kid DIDN'T have anything to do with that murder, well then WHY is he STILL WANDERING the streets of Lawrence on a daily basis. Does that answer your question? You must feel stupid. Nice try buddy. Not to mention, he was QUESTIONED about a MURDER, you'd think he'd learn about what it means "Being the company you keep" and to "Be aware of his surroundings." The people that are going to stick up for him are attempting to throw delusional thoughts that he had NOTHING to do with ANYTHING and ALL OF A SUDDEN people were shooting at him. SMH. He was arrested and questioned about a MURDER. He obviously has some ties to something. I learned my lesson being in Lawrence, b/c you know what? If your surrounding yourself with these people, even if your innocent, your STILL guilty. I thought I'd move to Lawrence for cheap rent, only to be surrounded by criminals, gangsters and addicts. Guess what? I was arrested TWICE for crimes I didn't commit. Instead of Boo-hoo'ing about it. I packed up my stuff, that was left, after getting robbed and then moved out IMMEDIATELY. People are responsible for their own actions and at the end of the day, individuals need to help themselves and stop blaming others. These Lawrence monsters want to bring EVERYONE ELSE down with them. So, as an individual, you can either let it happen, or walk away.

No one is trying to rile anyone up. People just speak the truth and/or their opinions and others, like you, get mad, b/c all of a sudden EVERYONE IS RACIST and ignorant. The FACT remains that Lawrence is a deplorable city, FILLED with SLORE humans.

I'm not saying he's a waste product, however, there is NOTHING else but drugs, alcohol and sex in Lawrence past midnight. I lived in, I've seen it, so you could NEVER convince me otherwise. You say he was "Not in the streets," yet he GOT SHOT IN THE STREET. So, indeed he WAS "In the streets." You kids are ALL TOO FAMILIAR what goes on in the streets of Lawrence past a certain time of day/night. So, again WHAT ARE YOU KIDS DOING IN THE STREETS @ 4 AM. The city of Lawrence is crazy enough, nevermind when you have all of these elements combined. May his soul rest in peace, but also teach you kids a LESSON. Stay home! Sit on the computer. Read a book. Watch TV. Or, is it better to be out "Banging B*&^%$S" and "Getting Wasted?" You kids need to make some better decisions. Again, I'm not hating on anyone, but just being honest. Next time you kids think it's cool to be out late, partying and "being cool" just look at the DOZENS of examples of murder, shootings and overdoses that occur year after year after year in that City.

Look @ Lowell, Methuen, Salem, Haverhill and everywhere else in and around the Valley. Why does LAWRENCE seem to be the crime capital? Why are the HISPANICS CONSISTENTLY in the crime log more than ANYONE? Why did Lowell turn around? Why is that the ONLY bad neighborhoods in Methuen are MOSTLY Hispanics? Why do MOST thefts, in Salem, occur by Hispanics. I'm glad your a proud latin mother of two, but I hope to GOD, you are NOT raising those 2 kids in Lawrence. The BEST thing my mother ever did was move us OUT of there before I was in 3rd grade. I always though "Oh my family is SO PREJUDICE." Only to move to Lawrence myself to get robbed TWICE, by HISPANICS and arrested TWICE for two things I NEVER did, b/c HISPANICS like to do drugs, play with guns and then blame it on other people to save themselves. Exactly, everytime I see how they are bigging up and DRAMATIZING the 2-way of Essex St., I can't help but LMAOOOOOO b/c they are making it seem as if this is a GROUNDBREAKING AND EPIC STEP to revitilizing the city and making it the Lawrence from 1944, once again. Even the government of this city is on dope. Why else would they think this way? LoLLLLLLL @ the High School already having a riot!! But, we don't see that in the paper, do we? The female riot at the NEW HS was covered up. First it was renovating the mills to BRING the city back. That failed. Then it was building the biggest, most-expensive High School EVER to BRING the city back. That failed. Now, it's Essex St. as a 2-way, which is already failing. Why a 2-way? So, people in BOTH directions can see the burnt-down buildings with X's, abondoned night-clubs and roach invested lodging apartments....

I wonder what's next when this OFFICIALLY fails. What's next to BRING the city back? I know, they should make the Common into a SUPERHIGHWAY to connect all sections of the city, to attrack all the HIGH END fashion stores that are BEGGING to come to Lawrence!!!!!!

Ok then. But I hear it all the time. When I (unfortunately) lived in Lawrence all the Hispanics used to talk about "Dumb Gringos" and "White Trash." They would rag on white people so bad, but I was ok, because I'm Sicilian/Italian, which to them is NOT white. So, I'd ask them what their problem was and they'd just say ANOTHER ignorant comment. Yet, then they'd be crying discrimination, b/c when they went to the Rockingham Mall, people thought they were stealing, just b/c they are Spanish. Which, I found HYSTERICALLY HILARIOUS, b/c the SAME people calling white people Gringos, that were crying harassment all the time, were PALE white: MUCH MUCH lighter than my skin tone and I have YET to be discriminated against EVER in my life, even though I have been asked numerous times if I'm Spanish. In HS, some people used to call me names, b/c they thought I was Spanish, but in the real world I have NEVER had a problem. So, where is the LOGIC behind a PALE WHITE Hispanic, call white people Gringos and then CRYING discrimination b/c they are "Hispanic." What an absolutely pathetic MESS!!

To the people asking him why he just doesn't fire his Hispanic employees for calling in sick, etc. It's easy, b/c they will CRY discrimination and then get whatever they want. LEE and TRUTH IS...The TRUTH IS that I was severely taken advantage by not 1, but 3 His Panics plotting against me. It's amazing to me how intricate their ways can be. For now, yes I am fighting this charge, however, it's SO difficult in the legal system b/c you are the company you keep, in the eyes of the Judicial system. So since things were stashed in my apt. w/o my knowledge, it doesn't matter, b/c I'm guilty anyway, just b/c I was present. That constitutes as "Possession." CARROT: I TOTALLY agree. The Tribune really needs to focus on the racial tension, here in the Valley, before another racial riot, like in 1984, erupts. However, will it REALLY help? For you guys complaining that Lawrence is 90% Hispanic, so that's why this happens. NOT TRUE. Commenttard is right. Lawrence is about 60 (or so) % Hispanic. That is not a valid excuse. Methuen is like 90% White, yet 95% of the time a serious crime is commited in the City, it's a HISPANIC. So where is the logic there? 95% of shoplifters in Salem are Hispanic and Salem is like 98% white. So, if you have crime in 2 mainly white cities, committed by Hispanics, is that also because Lawrence is "90% Hispanic?"
