in Is Bradley Dumping the Bucket? on Major League Soccer Talk
Think about Torres, Adu and Jozy playing together! Torres plays in the middle for Pachuca so I'd push him to the middle, move Beasley back to the right and have Donovan out wide on the right side.
Freddy and Torres need to develop some chemistry and overlap and cover for one another. They need to start playing together this Saturday.
I love this idea and hope Bradley is going to act on it.

in Not Good Enough on Canes Rising
Those of you who were not around during the probation years may not recall that we found ways to dig deep and beat conference opponents those years. We had only one losing year in the Big East, and that was a 3-4 season when we bottomed out at 5-6 in 1997. We bounced back the next year and went 5-2 and then 6-1 in 1999 before winning the league title again in 2000. The Big East was essentially the same caliber then as the ACC is now. Virginia Tech was actually better then, Syracuse very good, West Va while not as good as they have been the past few years was a bowl team just about every year, and Pitt certainly had some nice seasons also. BC made a bowl just about every year also.
Ryan Clement was limited physically but was a fighter. Once the talent was replenished we had to learn how to win which we did. Growing up takes time and to that extent Shannon gets a bit of a pass, but where he deserves blame is that he did not inherit the mess Butch did and he over inflated expectations. Last year he led people to believe this team could beat anyone, anywhere. Now look at us. We are a laughingstock and because we are Miami, don't think people will see us as Duke or Vanderbilt on their schedule. They will come out to kill us every week.

Those teams would kick the snot out of this team. Edge would run for 350 yards against this front seven! James Jackson? 100 or 150 for sure!
