One of the wrongs in life are the different standards we use on
different categories of people and different circumstances. Why? All people
were born naked. It is this human conflict that fuels art. Most of the great
bands had dischord at their hearts causing tension which resulted in edge
and perhaps enhanced focus-The Beatles a prime example. Happy and healthy
new year to you as well.

Re: Theatrical Self-Impersonation and The Platonic Spirit

Interesting piece/assertion and I'd concur. Some parts are similar to what Michael Moore had to say on Larry King last night. His assertion was that government should insist that the Big 3 produce the needed vehicles for government works program. Possibly light rail cars, or other cost-effective energy efficient transportation devices. Not crappy cars that break in 3 years because those are the "comfortable shoes" they've been wearing. There needs to be a complete overhaul of corporate culture and executive salaries and and perks. This whole system has gotten out of hand.

Re: bbluesman/Mark Forman » Baseball and other images

I'll make you a deal...even throw in melamine hot dog... :D

Re: bbluesman/Mark Forman » Baseball and other images

Ha! Yes indeed. I thought about the mutt connection before PE Obama
made that statement. One of my deep feelings after being happy for him and
what it probably meant for out African-American countrymen was how Barack
won for us "mutts." Let's hope the deeper thinking, insights and action
continue to come. Much work is needed. Thanks for sharing your thoughts here.

Re: Obama's decency (Scripting News)

Thanks. Bingo on selflessness and graciousness. I can tell you that American people even at their worst are still generally gracious and decent. I have been living in Asia for 21 years and have met people from all over the world. Part of Mr. Obama's awesomeness is from inspiring people to be awesome. He sure has inspired me this way in the face of imploded global economy. I trust he will continue to push himself and the bright people he confides in to keep coming up with good goals and vision lifting challenges.

Re: bbluesman/Mark Forman » Hard to believe…

Jason-thanks. Agreed ultimately that is the key. Also as he has stated and
responsible citizens know-he can't do it alone and needs the help of
everyone. Hopefully this great partnership will be successful. Many changes
and much sacrifice is needed to achieve this.

Re: bbluesman/Mark Forman » Hard to believe…

Thank you for sharing those words Reggie. I can't presume to feel what you
and other African-Americans do.Your words come as a pleasant conformation to
what I suspected. African-Americans have contributed much to America in
every aspect of history, society and culture. Now they have contributed the
highest elected official in the nation-quite an impressive achievement. I
believe Mr. Obama will do you and all Americans quite proud.
