Games based apps and the game bars, zynga for example are certainly producing some very interesting options for viralit. I just hope that out of that will come valuable lessons for building increasingly viral, useful, non-gaming applications.

Re: Rogers finally getting serious (competitive) with data plans

It's a mirage... the fine print tells it best...

http://www.mapleleaftwo.com/rogers-unlimited-da...

Re: Do not call list: A new reality for Canadian marketers. The Iphone price of 199.00 is only available for new customers. If you have an existing account it is dependent on your hardware upgrade credits what price you have to pay.
I am in my 3rd yr of my 1st contract with Rogers and half way through the process of setting up my iphone in the store they told me it was 349.99 plus a 100 'hardware upgrade' tier fee...
So both I and the store rep spent 2 hrs on the various customer service systems and finally got them to wave the 100$ tier upgrade fee... but they stood firm on the iphone price... they said apparently one guy earlier paid nearly $500 for his
!^&$ Rogers

Re: 100 new features coming with the iphone 3.0 software (including copy & paste!)

Subscriptions & in-app payments should be interesting too! With pricing & strategies for the iPhone already an integral part of releasing a successful app, the ability to charge for additional features withing the app will certainly lead to some interesting models. With 30% of this too, Apple is certainly doing something right...

Re: Google Launches Mobile Local Search: More Bad News for Yelp

I couldn't help notice the floating category icons in this demo... is AR a 'coming soon' feature?
