I actually have a Roku device (reviewing it for Linux Journal, hehehehe), and although I don't have an Xbox 360, I would assume the quality is similar. It's really quite impressive. If you sign up for the $9/mo thing, you get unlimited streaming plus one DVD at a time. (Not all titles are available for streaming).

I think it's a great deal, largely because I really like the older movies that are widely available via streaming. Also, you get the first 14 days free -- so there's no reason not to try it out. :)

Not a game, but I'd recommend Netflix -- the Xbox will stream, and $9 a month is a great deal for unlimited streaming.

Yeah, that sorta tromps on my 6 channel mixer with the single aux port. :)

The bad news is that you got radioactive gel (the blue is always radioactive), and the ants will soon mutate teleportation abilities, and develop a fondness for human spleen. But in the short term -- neat ant farm!

Look for telecommuting jobs if you can. It does two things -- gives you a paycheck, and brings money into Michigan. That's just my opinion, of course, but a decent tele-job seems perfect for those of us living in the beautiful, economically dying, north.

I don't "get it" when it comes to Webkinz. In the words of LOLCats, maybe I'm just doin' it wrong, but the second life online seems to be little more than a gimmick to me.

I might have to go buy my kids another set, and see if we can make it work. Last year about this time they got a few of them, but we couldn't manage the online portion. Maybe it was a Mac/Linux issue with the website. It might be worth another go.

I was planning to post something like this today on my own site. I just linked to your post, because it was very well done.
