Do you mean to tell me that you think that the Democratic party is honest and only cares about your needs? If you really think that, then I've got some beachfront swampland to sell ya.
Both parties will stop at nothing for power. They have both left their basic foundations and, frankly, suck. They are corrupt giants and they should both be defeated.

I'm disappointed in Fox doing this. This is the same crap the liberal media has been pulling. I always balance the libmedia out with fox just to get both sides. I've got no choice. I refuse to just take someone's word for anything - since they all have a spin on it.

It has been a few years since I commented at DailyKos, but when I did, I was quickly labeled a "troll" and had verbal abuse heaped upon me. True, they didn't delete my comments or prevent me from commenting, but the temperature was pretty hot there!

Democrats must lead by doing what is right for the people of the United States as a whole and not by watching polls promulgated by the Party of No and Fear! Democrats must not be "hoodwinked and fooled" into an abortion fight that does not really exist! We should be smarter than that... We must keep our "eye" on the Prize -- the long awaited and wished for Goal of healthcare for all Americans and lower premiums for those who are already insured. Democrats have a chance to lead by actually doing something good for Americans -- like health care, which is tied to the deficit and the bankrupting of businesses and families. We must keep our "eye" on the Prize and not be labeled with the title of another "do nothing Congress"!

GOP politicians and operatives continue to dishonestly and deceptively say that they cannot support a public option, they claim that they want to keep costs down for the American people! Really? This they claim all the while knowing that a public option/competition is the only way to really control cost and to bring about true reform thereby putting a definite Halt to the “out of control” medical costs and premiums crippling people and businesses today, making it harder and harder for average Americans and young people to realize and take advantage of the slowly, slipping away American Dream. One could ask themselves, If you happen to lose your job today or tomorrow in these unstable economic times and at a time when we currently do not have healthcare reform for all, who would pay you or your familiy's health care costs, that is, if you are lucky enough to be able to see a doctor without insurance? This American Dream, now being called Socialism by the GOP has slowly been slipping away, and is in the last throes of dying, if we do not forge a new path onwards toward inclusion and cooperation for all. This dream of America will die to be replaced with just another third world country -- only to go by the wayside and into the history books as another failed experiment.

The Party of Yes We Can vs. the Party of No and Fear! Democrats must again take up their chant, Yes We Can and lead by leading and accomplishing reforms -- like health care which is tied to the deficit and the bankrupting of businesses. Those timid Dems who refuse to take issue with the insurance companies will lose their seats in the coming elections. Those who stand firm for the people will be re-elected to fight on! It is interesting to note that the three Democrats who won houseseats in Tuesday's elections which had previously been held by Republicans in New York and California, all embraced the current health plan and a Public Option! Democratic congresspeople should not be led astray by the Party of No and Fear.... and remember and again Reiterate confidently everyday on the house floor -- "Yes We Can"!

There is a reason that GOP always say Gov’t is the problem. They know that when you have a party of men and women in power who do Nothing for Main Street but say no or complain, who stymie reform, then government is a problem! And so it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. Whenever GOP are in power or in control, the government has been a do nothing, problematic government for Average Americans and a big Boom and Bonus for the Rich and well connected. We must remember, this is Bush & the GOP’s recession. They had the power for 8 years and did nothing to uplift this country, only to rape it from Main Street, to add it to Wall Street. The GOP does not even like to raise the Minimum Wage! They care nothing if you are making it. People we must wake up now! Because look around, assess the United States’ situation that we are in and ask yourself over the last 10 years of GOP rule, what have they done for you lately? Or this country? Do you like what the United States has become? And ask yourself this, if we let them get power again, how much more further will this country be destroyed until the United States will no longer be. That is a very frightening thought!

The wins of GOP governors will be unfortunate for the people of Virginia and New Jersey. If the people of these states thought they had it bad under Democratic governors, they have seen nothing yet. How long will some people continue to be Fooled by these Wizards of Oz? How long will they continue to circle the Yellow Brick Road? Republican politicians will not deliver the change these people seek but instead will impede it delivering more good and services to big corporations and insurance companies which will only continue the decay of these states. This is very unfortunate indeed because the GOP primary objective is to say no the people and to spead fear -- The Party of No and Fear -- deceptive Wizards of Oz!

The GOP Party of No in the healthcare debate continue to mouth that they are against healthcare reform because they want to control healthcare costs! That is so ironic and hypocritical because to control healthcare costs, one must have the Public Option! Even a 3rd grader understands that...

The U.S. electorate must wake-up to the fact that we are experiencing George Bush & the Republican Era''s Recession. We must have More liberal seats if we are to implement changes toward main street and not Wall Street. GOP gains will just thwart this direction and continue the same trend which has devastated this country. The GOP will say anything to regain their power. They are not for the average folks!

As for the controversy of Rush Limbaugh, who day in and day out, has made millions influencing and shaping minds and hearts toward hatred, divisiveness, racial intolerance and just genuine negativity! He has been a pestilence and cancer on society. He has contributed mightily toward the culture of uncivility and rudeness! America is changing. America must change toward civility, tolerance, cooperation, all the things Rush Limbaugh is not and does not represent.

It's an arguable point that a Nobel Peace Prize carries with it any serious prestige. When the terrorist Yasser Arafat was given this award, it was after his years as head of Black September, notorious for their 1972 Munich Olympics massacre of the entire Israeli team, the hijacking of numerous aircraft and the Achille Lauro, and leader of the PLO.

This year, written nominations had to be received by February 1, 2009. That means President Obama was nominated within a week of being inaugurated.

The person who nominated President Obama will not be made known to the public for 50 years, but I have an educated guess. I think it was the dying Ted Kennedy, who made it his last crusade to get Obama elected. Obama was certainly aware that he had been nominated.

On extending an Olive Branch to our adversaries, President Obama has been awarded one of the most Prestigious Awards in the World -- The Nobel Peace Award. For his efforts and courage on a world stage to engage with the enemy, to sit at the table and break bread, to engage in peaceful dialouge with respect, and to extend to our "alleged" enemies an Olive Branch and not a Stick, the GOP jealousy ask -- But, what has he done?

What he has done, in the face of much criticism, as stated above, is to extend an Olive Branch to our adversaries, because only peace can bring peace. He has fostered and ignited the will to good, which in turn, will increase goodwill around the world. In the face of ridicule, President Obama has set the tone and direction toward unity, cooperation and oneness, recognizing our interconnectedness with all nations around the world -- that we are all brothers/sisters and souls of the one Great Life from which we have all originated from. This is a very big deal Indeed because it is a Consciousness change which will change the actions of men on earth.

baca, most of the current proposals won't go into effect in time to help people who are losing jobs in the current recession. So, why shouldn't the priority be to get the economy back on track and promote job creation, so that we don't have so many unemployed people who face the consequences of not only loss of healthcare, but complete loss of income?

If you lose your job today or tomorrow, who will pay you and your families' health care bills? And, if your job decides to opp out of paying your health care due to raising Premium costs, you will have to shoulder the burden yourself. But if we can get a healtcare bill through wherein all Americans are covered at a reasonable price, we will all benefit.

It is a sad stain on our society that Republicans and some Pundits spend more time in critiscising the President and Democrats than offering solution which help all of us.
