Oh man, DokuWiki and Bugzilla.. Kill me now.

I rather like Jira for issue tracking, but it's a bit costly.

MediaWiki is my wiki of choice.

Of course Subversion wins most of the time for version control. Mercurial is also interesting, though it could use a bit more work on the clients.

I think IRC is sexy... You can already move around SL using the Wiimote with GlovePIE heh.. Not on the Wii though. We can hardly move bots around the world using libsecondlife, so it will be some time.

In the current state copybot would not be able to duplicate the statue. Nobody on our dev team will be adding that function any time soon, and I don't think the people who released it have the ability to do it..

My experience was tainted by the fact that it didn't work at all..

Not to nitpick, but your call came no more from Second Life than a call from Skype would have. They're both external programs that sit in the background.The only difference with Vivox is that it has some "phone booths" in Second Life. You could do the same with skype if you really wanted to. It's not a revolution, it's a half assed service packaged in a novel way.

If they want to beat Skype for me, it's going to have to match Skpe feature for feature and then give me that little bit more. Oh yeah, and hire a new UI designer.

Just took a regular snapshot 1600x1200 (<3 the new snapshot tool) and then got a large shot of the pie menu on a blank background ;0 Did some vector layer overlays and then added a transparent gradient. Then I cut the letters out of the original pie menu so it would match and pasted them over the new one ! Simple as PIE!

PS. Blogging about pie makes people who are looking for pie recepies look at your website.

Thanks Miss K. I've been compiling my UI ideas and I hope to have a few more mock ups soon. Looking into hacking the XUI and doing some real UI changes as well.

Thanks Torley ;0 I think I was just waiting for the right developments to get this thing started. I always had a vision of where Second Life was going, but I never knew what path it would take until recently. Linden Lab has really kicked into high gear. Torley, it's not in the interface but there is a plugin for that. Also, you can go to C:\Docs n Settings\%user%\App Settings\Mozilla Firefox\...\...\...\searchplugins\
