Oy. I asked my pastor about whether drinking was a sin or not and he said NO, unless you happen to be an alcoholic or something. And he said hard liquor was also probably sinful unless you're mixing it with something. Which made me happy, since I love a margarita.

I had seen some things around the blogosphere about this, but I didn't go see it until you linked. Brilliant!! I loved every second of it, can't wait until tomorrow to watch the end.

Dangit, I only got 13/15. I messed up Benson and Soap. I've never seen an episode of Soap, though, so that's my excuse. :)

I used to live in an apartment complex where 4 apartments shared 1 washer/dryer. We had a neighbor that was very rude and would do that all the time. So I just finally bought a cheap laundry basket at the dollar store and took their laundry out and put it in the basket with a note that said: "Sorry to have to pull your clothes out like this, but I have no clean undies! :)".

Oddly, they left the basket in there, and pretty much always after that, when people had laundry to do and other people's stuff was in there, they would pull the stuff out and leave it in the basket. Worked for us, maybe you could do something similar?

You always make me want to go on a mission trip. Maybe someday, I will be able to.

I'm kind of a leaner-toward universalist beliefs, myself, though I identify as a Methodist for my own personal beliefs. But I really think this was a good post, John, it has given me quite a bit to think about, thanks for that. :)

We do an advent calendar every year. :) The church mailed Megs one, but we managed to lose it, so we'll go with the old standby. (It's a cloth advent calendar, very cool!)

I'll be doing NaNoWriMo too, thanks to you, John! I already signed up at the site and have got about 32 (handwritten) pages of character analysis. I can't wait to actually start the writing!

I absolutely love the Tick. Every time my brother or I mention something about going crazy, the other of us says, "You're not going crazy, Arthur! You're going SANE in a crazy world!" Hahahaha, yay for the Tick. :)

It's kind of amazing how many bloggers I like to read are Methodists. We are the cool people, f'sho! ;)

I hate feeling pulled in so many directions. I do the same thing, withdraw from a situation so I can just get everything sorted out. Don't forget to take care of yurself. :)

Thanks for posting about that, I just might try it. I think if I do, I'd write it on livejournal- it's really easy to move your posts around and change the date on them, what have you.
