in Replicating Your Successes With Your Current Goals on Winning Everyone
Excellent stuff, Daniel! I love the "man-made cookies" stall, with the mobile selling and the feedback board! LOL I may have to pass that idea on to my husband . . .

What great, common-sense advice you give. This post has really helped me to identify an important goal, and think about ways to accomplish that goal. The goal is that I want to spend more quality time with my children. All too often, when it comes to relationships, we take a "just let it happen" approach. Your post has made me realize that I need to see that - spending more quality time with my children - as an actual goal, and set it up step-by-step with what I need to do to make that happen.

Thanks, and keep up the good work!

in Complete Lives With Beautiful Words on Winning Everyone
Wonderful post, as usual Daniel! It made me think of this verse:

1 Thessalonians 5:11
"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing."

Thank you, Daniel, for making it your goal to encourage others. You are making an important mark on this world! :-)

Blessings to you, my friend!

in Running and Finishing the Excellence Mile! - Part 1 of 2 on Winning Everyone
Excellent post, Daniel! When I was young, I would attend music competitions. I remember reminding myself that I was only competing against myself - trying to do the best I could do. That reminder served me well.

Great list! But I would add "gentle" to the godly man list. :-)

Grace, thanks for the heart idea! I'll have to use that with my hubby!

in Excellence - And The Price For It on Winning Everyone
"Excellent" post! :-)

And I agree with Mike. I don't like housework (ha!) but I can still be an excellent housewife, because that is a standard I have set for myself.

Sounds like your pastor is a very wise man.

Thanks!

in Winning People by Our Countenance (Facial Expression) on Winning Everyone
Excellent post, Daniel! People will know us by our fruits! If fruit is an outward sign of a tree or plant that is healthy at the roots, then a smile is an outward sign of someone who is spiritually healthy. You are right; people who see a peaceful smile on the face of a Christian can't help but be drawn to it.

Blessings, dear brother!

in Christian Courtship - The Need for Lower Standards on Thomas' Blog
Thomas, you are very wise. I read an article recently that said "misery is the key to happiness." The gist of it was that the reason so many people are miserable is because their expectations are too high. People who accept that no one is perfect, and decide to love others in spite of their shortcomings, are happier in their relationships.
