I just wanted to say thanks for the link. It was really very nice, very moving. I also work on a blog or two that features aging in place as a central theme, for a company that offers in home care and support. Great post, it really makes you feel why aging in your own home is an important concept and goal.

Really a fan of the short posts. Tech on the fly. Another great SaaS tool for sharing and storing files: Doclanding, http://www.doclanding.com. They are great for small biz and meet compliance standards (SEC, HIPPA, etc.)

MySites has a really slick UI. Doesn't really have the security for a small business though. If you are interested in Saas-model document sharing and storage tool for businesses, I would check out DocLanding. They have some great security and document annotation features. They also have an on-the-fly document viewer, that allows you to view any file type. Check out a free account at www.doclanding.com

Saving time and saving gas is just getting easier by the day. One area that I have really seen change is the courier industry and mailing documents. Obviously a lot of businesses are hindered on what they mail and e-mail by HIPPA and financial standards. But there some really cool, document storage and collaboration tools out there that allow you to securely share and store all your documents without using e-mail, snail mail or courier services. I am thinking of . I just launched a week or two ago at DEMOfall08 and it is really cool. It also offers free accounts, so feel free to try it out.
