Animefuel.com has always been fairly useful to me, but it mostly just links to videos hosted on Megavideo.

Sinceramente, achei muito fraco os argumentos. Concordo com o Leandro no ponto de que é indiferente qual 'interface' ocê usa... Você cria arquivos no seu PC e salva na nuvem, sem nenhum problema.

Quanto a nuvem não ser tão segura quanto o Pc, tb descordo... Também estamos expostos mesmo usando nossos PC's. Acho que os riscos são os mesmo. Aliás, acho que os riscos são maiores com no armazenamento local. Bem, a discussão é grande, mas eu sou mais um dos que acham que o futuro está "nas nuvens". Aliás, acho que o presente já está.

O twitter não pode acabar com as mini-urls pq se não as urls não vao caber nos tweets. Eles deveriam adcionar um recurso de adcionar uma URL relacionada ao tweet, imagens e videos tb seria legal e acabar com esse "terceirização de recursos do twitter".
Está surgindo um monte de sites como tweetpic, tinyurl por causa da falta de recursos do twitter

This is a pretty standard layout for social profiles. The only thing they "stole" is the silly top and bottom borders for headings. Look at any profile page from Tribes or Friendster up to MySpace and Facebook and they're about the same.

The scandal here isn't some kind of theft, it's the utter lazyness on the part of Wikia's designers.

i have to agree -- we shouldn't be tied to buying products just because its company A or company M... we should always feel like we are buying best of breed products from best of breed companies.

And i think that is my point -- when you are buying a product -- you are also buying and relying on the reputation of that company.

What do i mean?

- Well, a company like Apple doesn't just provide you with the iPhone 2-years ago... its builds and extends on that with a DRM free iTunes media service. Palm can't offer that.

- Its guaranteed to use innovative and advanced hardware through strategic licensing from Imagination Technologies (Power VR GPU) and ARM (CPU - multi-core) and its ownership of PA-Semi (RISC chip design). Palm doesn't have that leverage.

- It has single-handedly created a developer ecosystem with the App Store which has guaranteed that mobile developers have now bet on the iPhone platform for rich mobile applications. Palm neither has that or cano offer that by developing Web 2.0 applications.

My point is this. Palm Pre is excellent. And probably the best contender after Android. But when you compare that extra things i have mentioned -- what it really demonstrates is that there is a difference in companies.

yea google is dominating all media and will continue to in the future. I watch all music videos on youtube now too. I dont think apple stands a chance regarding music. itunes is such a hassle to use. even tho i hope apple fares well cuz they're operation is more beneficial to the music industry.

I think the article points out the obvious challenge with monetization that niche content players face. My takeaway was not that bloggers can't "get rich" but rather that adsense is weak and somebody needs to come up with a better niche monetization tool.

And just to try to put this to rest, our concern is primarily the 3.5mm jack claim, not the multitouch; we're trying to put the plausibility of the story into perspective with some critical thinking. I totally understand why you're upset, but by the same token, you can understand why it seems unlikely that Apple told Google not to include a standard jack in the G1, right? Other phones already do this and HTC's will going forward.

I would agree with Scabar - best option would be Twitter Connect but I agree that Facebook Connect will be the winner. Number one reason it is simple - it couldn't be easier. Second reason is that as people get more involved with communication through the Web they will demand a centralized approach.

At some point people will say "I remember when my comments were spread all across the web and it was difficult to track my conversations".

Since years I refraining from buying a new MacPro and just wait for a new one that has a Blue-Ray installed. Now I have to wait even longer. I have iMovie HD since 2 years and cannot write my movies on an equivalent media. It is just a shame. Keep waiting for the world to change.
