Problem with that is spammers would simply follow your channel (or the channel you mod) before sending the spam PM and then immediately unfollow.

You are free to raid channels IF you have prior permission from the broadcaster. Otherwise its just directed spam.

Group channels are joinable via IRC currently. They are on different servers so you will have to connect to a different set of IPs and then join the special room name.

There isn't really any easy way to get this info but http://chatdepot.twitch.tv/... is a good place to start. (Note: feature is still beta so may change)

Anyone experiencing this likely has a 3rd party extension such as BetterTTV or Stylish that does not properly support the new chat. They will need to disable it until updated.

Currently all emotes are places inside word boundaries (\bEmote\b) so non a-z0-9_ will not work. This is to make sure they don't intersect with other existing emotes.

I can't control what other users do. I've told them my wishes many times and I hope they will respect them.

If Twitch doesn't want me to use the domain they are free to ask. As it stands there are many twitch(.*) sites that they are aware of and still let exist and even promote: twitchemotes, twitchstatus, multitwitch, twitchtools etc.

Late reply but yes, its built into the chat server so IRC and mobile users will need to be verified as well.

I would like to see a place good quality small streamers
have an equal opportunity to be featured and have their story told as their partner counterparts. Having curated recommendations of non-toxic communities (broadcasters and chats) would be a welcome addition for users looking to find other types content to check out.

Resources and tips for broadcasters to help them have a better experience on Twitch such as running a well moderated inviting chat or growing their channel would also be welcome.

Whether it’s on the Twitch blog or a community site, having more community resources and interaction is definitely needed.
