Medical Marijuan has finally "come of age," but many people have yet to realize the true potential of the famed marijuana herb. Although the idea of opening a marijuan dispensary in the City of Gilroy is good for the patients, the city should scrutenize the idea and every detail it consist of if they are going to allow it. Strict guideline and regulations should be implemented for those wanting to operate a marijuana dispensary. Currently marijuana patients can grow their own medication whithout having to resort to alternative sources, but the problems is that many don't have the basic knowledge to do so. The inability to do so leeds these patients to believe the only option they have is buy from a dispensary or an alternative source. Marijuan dispensaries shoul be operated by industry experts with extensive knowledge and experience in their respective field. This brings the other best option into perspective in the form of caregivers. Caregivers can highly reduce the need for a dispensary and make medical patients self sufficent. Caregivers can teach patients the basics of growing their own medication in the privacy of their own home. It also reduces the patients cost substantially as well as the risk of having to find an alternative sources to obtain their medication. All factors surrounding a medical dispensary wether good or bad are completly eliminated.
The real estate industry is much more different than the marijuana industry needless to say. It is always sad to hear of a father passing away, but fathers pass on every day and this should not be used as the basis for the establishment of a dispensary. When considering the proposal for this idea one must look beyond the story of a dying father and take into account the affects it will have on our community wether they are good or bad. The real interest should lay on the city, the marijuana herb and its potential, but most importantly the patients. and not attempting to fill a gap in a niche market feeding off of sick patients. all patients should be equipped with the basic knowledge of growing their own medicine and the know- how on what they can and cant do. Afterall The state already allows patients to grow for their personal needs.
California will soon consider legalizing marijuan under proposition AB390 which will regulate and tax marijuana just like alchohol. indivuduals over 21 will be allowed to grow up to 10 plants for personal consumption. this can save Clifornia tax payers millions of dollars that are being spent on marijuana prohibition and correctional facilities which have detained people for marijuan and allow law enforcement to focus those tax dollars on other much more severe drug prevention and programs. AB390 will end marijuan prohibition for good and allow for general use for those that choose to use it.
I encourage all those in support of the marijuan to vote to pass this proposition later this year which will have tremendous benefits to the poeple and the economy of California. It's time to think out of the box and be a leading example for the rest of the country. It's time to truely " Go Green"

I appreciate your points of view. We have no issue with those who prefer to legally grow their own Cannabis for medicinal use as permitted by law. In fact, some of these growers may choose to become members of a collective and provide surplus Cannabis to a dispensary for distribution to others who choose not to grow their own Cannabis. Others may feel that they cannot grow their own Cannabis as they do not have a secure location where they can grow it without fear of it being stolen. Others may not wish to grow Cannabis in a household with children. A dispensary is a more practical solution for them.
We agree with you regarding strict guidelines and regulations as long as they are reasonable and viable. But I do have problems following your line of reasoning. For example, are tobacco stores, liquor stores and those selling over-the-counter medications required to be industry experts? I personally don’t see where this level of expertise is required. Remember, a Doctor must recommend and monitor the patient, not the dispensary.
Using your line of reasoning over the counter, aspirin, cough medications, pain relievers and numerous other products should only be sold in stores having an industry expert. It is unreasonable to make such requirements as there are numerous sources of information available to consumers on line and in pamphlets. You are more apt to do yourself harm with many over-the-counter medications including aspirin than you are with Cannabis. In addition, care givers and those who grow their own Cannabis are not required to have access to industry experts, what reasoning do you have for making this a requirement for a dispensary? Are you recommending that care givers be required to be industry experts? When Cannabis does become legal, as you state you currently support, do you propose that the state require experts at any outlet were Cannabis is sold? Perhaps you can help me better understand your concerns.

This sounds like a lot of bureaucracy to address a need that you have yet to prove exists to protect the public’s health and wellbeing. Let’s not make it any more difficult for patients to find relief than it already is for them.

I'd imagine someone would know where a true IMAX theater is, and not just magically assume they mall multiplex just randomly added a fucking 72 foot screen. Did it not occur to you when you were purchasing your tickets to ask "Hey where the fuck do they hide that bigass seventy-two-foot fuckin' screen?" To which jackhole selling you the ticket would reply, um.. its the IMAX experience... not a real IMAX, and then you could've made the logical decision then and there.. which likely would've been go sit through the whole movie anyway and then bitch about your five dollars..

I was raised by loving parents and we attended church every week. I am gay and believe me, it is not by choice... I prayed for years for God to help me change. I almost took my own life because of my self-hatred perpetuated by religions like yours. God help a child of yours should he or she happen to be gay.

Well I know the boy and love him to death...but i would be lying if I say that I agree with everything. There is no way Ms. Tolzien should be the only person responsible for the actions that they BOTH chose to make. Why is he still enjoying his life, why is him and his friends walking around high five-ing each other? If she is going to be punished then so should he. There is no way he should be still on the sports teams or going to prom. He should definetly be on some kind of probation. I myself think the whole rich district sucks. Me being a parent have had several run ins with South and they like to sweep stuff under the rug. Whats really said is that the girl that he is in a relationship with parents dont know about the situation and would be very hurt that she is keeping it from them....
