Has anyone ever seen skiles smile?
I know Big A , E and R won't take this personally but sometimes it is hard for me to come to this site (my only IU source) because I dread the day of this hire and I see a MASSIVE picture on the front that reads...IU hires the coach for the future (mike montgomory, scott skiles, larry brown, randy whitman) and I see 342 responses....if that day comes I may have to go and buy some Purdue gear.......

Call Sean Miller, Tony Bennet, Anthony Grant, Keno Davis, Thad Matta, and Bryce Drew.........why is this so hard...Dammit! When they say NO go to the next name on the list.

I won't give this much thought right now, but I will say this.....YOU hire Skiles and you will see massive transfers and you will experience the worst of IU over the next 3 years. People know Skiles reputation, this is a good hire right after Knight, but not right right right after Knight......

Greeny I can't stomach this anymore, please don't do this. I know Big A , E and R, don't advocate this but............I feel like as an IU fan, we need to treat this committee and the IU administration like superdelegates and contact them to let them know....that the fanbase would not be happy with skiles and a bunch of others. We want to get this thing right this time.......FINALLY

Just curious to anyone......what was the last piece of Good News about this team? I can't remember.....it goes from bad to worse.

I hate to say this BUT.....if Matt Painter got hired as IU's next coach......give 1 week and no one would have a problem with it......so get over the Purdue guy stuff.....

Shall I go on...now Matt Painter is NOT walking through that door but I am over the hiring of a Purdue guy given the fact that some of you have mentioned hiring a Puke Guy...I hate them both but I love winning, screens, movement, and a clean program more than I love hating Purdue.

I think Ebanks still has a chance to come to IU, if he talks with the new coach and gets sold on the opportunity and sold on Indiana....NOT a coach.

I won't totally blast this "blue chip" group but I would have liked to have seen more basketball people on the panel/search group.......this hire to me breaks down to be based on these things....

1. Clean guy
2. Basketball success
3. Youth
4. Name

Although I think the 8 seed is just right.....wouldn't it be poetic justice if Dak can beat UNC again....ofcourse that is if we can beat a good and BIG Arkansas team.

Also once again Bob Knight did not metion the name IU....good job bob I am sure that is in your contract with ESPN.

There was a certain person on this site maybe yesterday or so who said IU would be a 9 seed at best.....mmmmm I wonder who that was.....

Well by next Saturday let the new coach rumors begin......I don't know much about Arkansas but I know more about IU and obviously the Tourney committee didn't think much of them....damn an 8 seed....

One thing I am looking forward too is ESPN's bracket coverage.....Will for the first time since his firing...Bob "don't say hey knight" Knight say ANYTHING about Indiana......will he even say the word......I watch and wait

This isn't senior night, this isn't the Big Ten tourney.....ONE and DONE. I think they MAY surprise us and play inspired not for you know who...but for DJ. You may see the old EJ come back....you may see the Lance Stemler who is also a senior and doesn't want this story book ending to end anytime soon....

This time next weekt he rumors will start flying, Big A and E get ready.....the IU coaching rumors will be HOT and HEAVY, and I am more looking forward to that than the tourney....

I think IU should one of two things......

Accept a bid to the New Post season tourney the CIB I believe, then have KS come and coach them in that....

or

Accept a bid to the NCAA tourney and let DJ and Kyle Tabar go by themselves, they seem to be the only two that are doing anything right now.

IU Student Paper: Coach Floyd....ummm what is your plan to field a team next year given the graduation and transfer of 93% of the team.

Tim Floyd...Look Don't underestimate Kyle Tabar and Finky, as we call him, they will surpise some people....Next question....

Only one more loss to go for the MOST frustrating, dissapointing, flirtaceous season in my IU life time. I hope I NEVER see Kelvin Sampson on a sideline again coaching ANYONE....which reminds me to tear up the autographed picture he signed for my son that hangs in his room....I am sure that is a violation also know KS.

From Midnight Madness to this very day, it has been nothing but Drama with IU....when will it end?

Rick Pitino would be HORRIBLE hir for IU....He would be gone in 3-5 years back to the NBA...(Lakers) and IU would be stuck right back in the position they don't want...LOOKING For another coach.

Greeny would be roasted if he hires Pitino.....

Did I miss something about IU's coaching timetable?

Pritchard is staying put........no doubt.....he could play immediately at IU, and I think his other choices were lower D1 schools......

This is why I love matt roth and could care less what his "star" rating is......5star is nice...but committment to the front of the jersey is better.....

My gut tells me Ebanks may still stay....the coach is gone, the opportunity to play is there, and there is not a fanbase out there that loves basketball more (bias me). Ebanks can't sign til April, IU will have a coach by then in which they will ask him to speak to first......I know he is visiting soon with mom so it could happen.

Despite who the coach will be, IU needs to take back the model and plan it set years ago that PU and Butler are using, keep Indiana kids in Indiana, get kids to play a role and play for the name on the front....and screw the back of the jersey

Jerry, I think both of them are fine..........Although I do like a little of how the women do their tourney....where I think they have a home game of some sort...I think.....that is for high seeds only, so it would exclude IU...

I agree with you on bayless, but he gets what EJ doesn't, good offensive sets, and open court basketball on occasion. Oh and actually coaching where a player improves.

How does everyone feel about Jordan Crawford taking over for EJ next year?

I think EJ has hit somewhat of a wall because how hard he has to work to get shots and the number of minutes he plays....which is all a reflection of a HORRIBLE offensive coach like KS was and is. EJ rarely gets easy transition shots because we don't fast break or force the tempo and he rarely comes off screens....

Hence....he is struggling with the jumpshot right now because of some fatigue. Good job KS way to continue to plague this team.

What sucks about our upcoming class is you Matt Roth first and last name is one sylable.....you cannot do a chant for it....
