This 4 point economic plan was unveiled today in Toledo, Ohio. I think that it properly takes into account that the economy is driven from the bottom up. My main concern was whether the plan was good for all of America. I think so.

I had the pleasure of seeing Obama speak today up close and personal at his rally. No one who really gets to know him (rather than resort to media characterizations) can resist him. There was an expectancy and electricity in the air. He is the real deal. He showed up un-anounced at folks' front doors to canvas. He worked out at a local YMCA. He is a REAL uniter and every man/woman. I agree with you, I cannot see why a drowning person would refuse a life preserver just because a black person offered it. If so, they deserve to drown.

Do we really know if all of the mail-in ballots are counted? Or if the provisional ballots are all actually counted or many thrown out at a whim? Also, with the touch screen machines there is too much disparity in the lost votes which fail to register or mis-register actual choices made by African Americans or Hispanics and other.

I too am concerned that all votes may not be counted and would like to see election monitors oversee this election. In my opinion, our situation in this election is as dire as those Jimmy Carter advocated oversight for.

Under appreciated and maybe even still maligned and stigmatized for his unique display of emotion. If Obama is elected, Dean is architect of the winning battle plan and as such should receive the credit due.

Obama is going to have to "go street" on somebody before he leaves office. At least I hope he does. But it's better to do it now, they'll have forgotten about it later. I say treat him worse than an infidel and a heathen. Be done. We ain't got 60 anyway.

I am not a lawyer, but church or clergy performance of marriages is contractual. There possibly could be, in my opinion, an issue if gay marriage is legalized and a ceremony is performed for one couple and not for another when everything else is considered equal. For example, both are members of the congregation, etc. It is an interesting dilemma and I think will probably come down to the courts. The same thing goes for providing benefits.

Premarital sex issues however, are not relevant as it is not against the law.

From my perspective, marriage, divorce, as well as cohabitation without marriage are increasingly becoming contractual arrangements as opposed to spiritual considerations. The basis of the so-called contract are usually financial considerations in one way or another. For me, drama and strife are not worth the money - at whatever price.

Very good post! I caught that. Also, "people in glass houses should not throw stones." Every time they get personal, I fantasize that Barack could just "Go Street" and respond like we are often tempted, but....

Anyway, I'm sure that McCain would not like to have his anatomy described and ridiculed publicly, so he needs to stop throwing rocks and trying to hide his hand.

If this boy did do this, there is something grossly dysfunctional going on in the household that would facilitate this. Also, I don't know if he did it or not, but this interrogation is very problematic and may come back to haunt the prosecution's case.

It seems like there have been warning signs, previous issues cropping up. I am sure intervention was attempted by those around him. I guess prosecution or jail will help him "see the light."

There were some telltale signs that Mr. Burress was beginning to self-destruct - domestic violence charges, team infractions, etc. But the more I watch these events unfold, the more uneasy I am becoming.

The mayor and others are jumping out there a little too early for me with rather strong, opinionated comments. Why? Revenge because of others who were brought to trial and found not guilty? Also, It is well known that high profile athletes have been targets and victims of robbery, etc. New York City, and its police department, on the other hand does not have the best reputation itself in the area of "accidental" shootings of innocent black men. In addition, the mayor has been known to have the disease of selective prosecution, choosing to ignore other committed felonies in NYC. I am definitely not defending Plax, but is there something deeper and larger here?
