let me survey the area.. i see teethers, books, balls, blocks, little plastic frogs, rattles, jar lids my baby likes to chew on, measuring spoons she clacks together,squeak toys, cards she has pulled out of my wallet, some shoes, little dolls.. it never ends! i need something to end the chaos!

My baby daughter wakes up my husband by yelling at him until he gets out of bed. Kisses us both, takes a leak, drinks water , brushes his teeth and spends the rest of the time before work playing call of duty 4..

my husband and i both come from broken homes (you never hear it called that anymore). we aren't close to our fathers So my husband being really involved in our daughter's life has been very healing for us. i still don't know what it means to be a dad, really. maybe it's just being a man and being there.

This is my first mothers day as a mom! That's good enough on my end of the celebration, but I want to take my mom to a book store and coffee shop. She loves books and coffee, but she has agoraphobia. My ideal day would be to get her out and have her actually enjoy it!

Papa is a rolling stone.. always has been.he just has never been able to sit still. he even missed my wedding. like to spend father's day w/ him, but my husband, baby and i will all be together. i'd like to give this kit to my hubby. he's handsome and i want to keep him that way!

Not long ago, my teething baby was screaming and flopping around and hit her gums on a hard floor. Blood went everywhere. We were all screaming and trying to stop the bleeding.It was minor and required no stitches ,but she screamed for hours, none the less. I could have used a bath treatment at the end of that day!

I feel like a really lucky person, always cheating death and beating the odds. In college, I wanted to go to a summer art program in Italy. I don't come from money, but I put down my $500 deposit (taken from my savings), and prayed the money would come along. It didn't . I lost my deposit, and was deeply depressed, but shortly after I began seriously dating a guy who happened to have a lot of frequent flyer miles and a friend with a summer home in Italy. We went all over Europe, and I had the experienceof a lifetime.

My husband put on a Nirvana album on tonight. I hadn't listened to them in 10 years. I could listen to Bleach over and over. smashing pumpkins.. i know he's brilliant but billy corgan's voice is so shrill!

I had to read over this twice. Such a meaty and thoughtful post. I've had so many adopted friends. All of them grew up in loving homes. A few said the wondering drove them mad. Some said they never wondered. One left his adopted family at 21 and moved in with his birth mom. Once I heard about them being adopted, I could never stop thinking about their biological parents. Mysteries, not knowing, that would drive me mad. Thank you so much for sharing.

If it weren't for blogs, I wouldn't have anything to talk about with other adults. Blogs are full of such amazing and true stories. Much better than fiction. I enjoyed sharing stories I've read with my hubby and friends.
