You say she is not beautiful, you are right in your eyes. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Ask any black person they will tell you she is a gem, she has it all! She fits an african definition of beautiful. Many men would bet their last dollar for her. Simple, this goes to show how caucansian and black differ in their perception of beauty. For example, in general, a beautiful caucassian is a blonde haired skinny tall girl with "fair" features on face; Black beauty incoperates the African glow, body curves/structure with a fair bit of flesh and good skin texture - and Tarisai has that. So basing your argument on beauty is a non starter.

Secondly, a lot has been said on her character as fake. African culture allows you to be yourself as much as you can in private or with friends, but when you come to adults or a public arena there is a requirement of dignity and respect. One of those is to take criticism constructively and not speak back! This cultural thing is inbuilt and becomes a lifestyle. And this is Tarisai portraying those on idol. On the contrary, caucasians have a liberty to swear, speak their minds back to their parents etc of which it is taboo to black people.

In conclusion I will say the idol competition has reached that level where cultural/racial/tribal (not necessarily racist) values determine the progress of the contestants. Sad on Tarisai cause she might be a minority and might leave not because she is bad, but certain things just wont change
