in Palm launches an app store that’s already half the size of the iPhone’s and ten times Android’s, but… on VentureBeat
It's not a free download its a bloody link to a mobile website! I wish Palm had made a proper app which pulls info from the web rather than a mobile site...also it's bloody slow. C'mon Palm this is your last chance saloon, by the end of January it's all over if you can't show once and for all you can compete.

in Facebook’s New Privacy Features: Easy or Complicated? on AllFacebook
I think they're excellent! It takes a little bit of thought but allows you so much greater control over your fb experience now. It also integrates very well with the new friends lists (really like the way you can create different lists and invite them to events or share content with them so easily).
Very good move Facebook, well done!

in Is Facebook’s Spam Creating an Exodus? on AllFacebook
I think there's something too that, the block app function is great but it took far too long for them to add it.
I started with FB in October 2006 because it was so easy to use, had a clean simple look but then the F8 came and basically turned into a MySpace wannabe much to its detriment...

in Europe Gets Its Mobile Facebook on AllFacebook
I find this very odd news, I'm in the UK and I've been using Facebook mobile on my Nokia N73 for nearly a year! I have friends who've been accessing it on other networks too for the last six months...

in Profile Clean-up Tool Coming Soon on AllFacebook
I think all the ideas are great. I joined FB over Myspace because it had such a clean and simple look. The apps have killed that and a roll back of them would be greatly appreciated.

in Facebook Promotes Politics, Will it Work? on AllFacebook
Do I think the application will succeed? If they internationlise it, focusing on US politics will limit its growth potential. What about UK politics for instance, the London Mayoral elections are next year (I'm sure I read that London has the second biggest network on there)? Shouldn't those candidates be available in applications like this? The recent Australian election being another case in point.
They should also broaden out what they mean by politics to be single issue and campaign based. Take the pro Burma Monks support group, these attract well over half a million users, people use it to stay up to date and organise protests etc. That's real politics in action.
Allow us to use Facebook as more than just support this or that American politician and yes it will succeed and have an important impact on the world in which we all inhabit.

in early adopters or Luddites ? - Digging in a Habari sandpit on Comments for 'Blog in isolation'
Interesting, this is something I've pondered. Those Blogger user seem to be quite emphatic about their chosen platform, why not get the best out of it? Odd...
