if im not mistaken, many of Poe's stories are about one character trying to get to deep slumber and others in the story are aspects of their psyche, like "The Raven" and "Fall of the House of Usher." is this one any different? Now, im not certain this story is also about sleep, but here's a few things to roll around..
Montresor is wearing a black silk mask and roquelaire (cloak). Sounds a little like pajamas.. a robe and one of those sleeping masks?

Withdrawl is Poe's first sleep stage, entering the catacombs could be withdrawl..

Stage 2 is the hypnogogic stage, a blending of reality and dream, (not sure what in the story this relates to)

Stage 3- fantasy, or REM.. "His eyes flashed with a feirce light" eyes flashing could be REM.

Stage 4- deep slumber. perhaps fortunado's death? or maybe montresor fails to reach deep slumber?

perhaps Fortunado represents something within Montresor that he has repressed, walled up some emotion..

another quick thought.. Poe struggeled with alchoholism quite a bit, maybe he is alluding to his own desire to bury that side of himself

If you look at the bottom of the site, you will see a logo for WorldChoiceTravel.com. If you google that, you come up with this website, which offers "private-label travel solutions that allow our partners to build their own comprehensive online travel portal".

So, basically, this is a rebadged Travelocity site, run by Travelocity, where Kanye gets a percentage of sales. If this took a year to get going, Kanye must be very slow at filling out forms.

I don't think anything else by Gong sounds like this. I remember enjoying the heck out of NY Gong (got it because of the Laswell connection sometime in the eighties) and being very disappointed by everything else Daevid Allen was connected with. I'd say go get some Material, or the first Golden Palominos record.
But don't let me tell you what not to listen to, & thanks for reminding me of this, I still bust a gut over "Much Too Old".

oh wendi, you better be joking. also, the last time i saw dragonforce was because horse the band was opening, and when dragonforce came on, herman fell on one of his trampoline jumps, and the guitar kept playing even though his hands werent on the guitar.

obviously you didnt look at the map. there was a bathroom behind the bullet stage that no one went to, so maybe it wasn't goldenvoices fault that you have an inability to find things. also, it took me 5-10 minutes to get in each day because i got there at 12 30, not later in the day. the lines for everything were shorter if you got there at 12 30-1. so dont complain just because you came late.

i have been going since 2006, and i have to say, a lot of the people suck their. i usually end up at the ska bands, find a few guys or girls that know how to skank fairly well, and open up a pit, then 50 kids run in and start windmilling. i understand most of them dont know what to do, but thats why you wait and watch other people do it. i punched a kid in the face this year when streetlight manifesto played on saturday because i told him nurmerous times to stop throwing down, and he wouldnt. another thing, the bands were soo good in 2006, 2007 sucked a lotta balls, with the exception of circa survive, muse, and a handful of other bands. then this year turned out really nice, except there were so many bands that really sucked. i know that they have to cater to other peoples needs, but when did bamboozle go from hardcore/punk/ska to powerpop and emo? they need to start a festival like that in the NYC NJ area

I liked how the main page on the old site was. i also like the new festival outlook page, because it isnt as long and you can click it and basically get the same thing you did before the re modeling. so i would say keep it but try to make the home page different.

How the BN has managed to stay in power for so long was because they instill the following into the mindsets of Malaysians:

a) Fear - threats of May 13, cheap defamation of the opposition, fear of "hand-chopping" PAS regimes, etc.
b) Greed - promises of development, bribery, etc.
c) Ignorance - completely erasing the existence of the opposition in the media, spin-doctoring of stories, inaccurate portrayal of events in history textbooks, etc.

Apart from playing dirty, they don't even play fair - I was hearing all sorts of stories from the way they rig elections during a PA training which includes things like waxing ballot papers and smuggling ballot papers out to be sold. Najib claims the opposition is getting desperate? Look who's talking!

Kudos to you Su Ann, I highly applaud your political awareness, sense of justice and bravery in putting up this article.

That may be. I also noticed that when MMJ got stuck, almost like it was waiting for a song to get a usable license, IE was notifying me that something/something/temp/tempDRM.something was trying to get a download from the internet. I disallowed it, but later turned around and connected to Napsteranyway. That's part of the reason I was thinking maybe Napster sent an updated DRM to the songs which in turn "confused" MMJ.

I guess we'll keep looking.

Mine stopped working right in the middle of converting some songs. MMJB paused on a song that had an expired license and when I stupidly allowed Napster to go fetch a new license, it updated all my songs and now none of them will convert. I have a friend who is still able to convert songs because he is doing it from a laptop that isn't connected to the internet. As long as Napster isn't allowed to send your current songs a new DRM, they should convert fine.... I think.

Hi, I just installed this plugin on a fresh install of Wordpress 2.1. I notice that whenever I set an article as private, it automatically prefixes the title of that article as "Private:" eventhough in the Post Levels Configuration, there is nothing in the field marked "Private Post Title Prefix." I can't seem to figure out how to remove this prefix from titles.

Healy certainly isn't pacy, and is in no way comparable to Andy Johnson (who hasn't even signed). Gera will almost certainly start ahead of Dempsey and Bouazza, who is now probably even behind Lee Cook in the pecking order. Hodgson's signings in January were crucial to our survival - those of Hangeland and Nevland especially, with notable contributions from Andreason and Stalteri too. Kallio was back-up, Litmanen was a dud!
