That's awesome. I'm not sure I can imagine where at the Waterfront that photo was taken but my parents would have had the same idea :)

Howdy Gannon:
This is mostly for First Blog Media (http://firstblogmedia.com) and maybe for a video blog down the road. I don't have intentions to start a personal podcast anytime soon, but I guess you never know. At least I know I can ;-)
By the way, remember how a year or so ago you told me it would be hard to graduate college, go straight to entrepreneurship? "Harder than I expect," I think were your words.
You were right.
Most prescient of you.

Hey Laura!
Fair questions, all ;-)
The mic's an RE27, same one Rush Limbaugh uses. And yes, that's 90% of the reason I bought it (love his tone).
I purchased it through Guitar Center through a rep I've worked with a few times before. It retails for something like $450 but I was able to get it for around $400 shipped.
In terms of my voice, the sound is definitely fuller as compared to a cheaper condenser (vis a vis a low-end AKG) and the tone is much fuller in the lower register. That was important to me because it's that bassy, present sound I'm gunning for.
Still I'm only halfway to the tone I'm after, but I think a good vocal processor will do the trick. I've heard good things from a few broadcasters about the Symetrix 528e... any input from your end?
Thanks for stopping by! I appreciate your questions Laura.

Entrepreneurship is tough. I can't remember exactly what I said, but it was probably something like, "if people knew how hard it was, no one would ever attempt it." I know I've expressed that sentiment before, although I can't remember the context of the specific post.
I'm not sure exactly what your situation is but the first time I attempted a business, I fell flat on my face in pretty short order. It was a tough failure for me as I was used to succeeding the things I attempted after a successful tour in the Marines. I couldn't look at the spread sheets for the business or the business plan I wrote for years. That was a mistake. I took the failure too personally. Other opportunities came along and the initial bad experience turned into a stepping stone in the process rather than the dead end I thought it was.
Again, I'm not sure where you are in the process, but this post may or may not help:

Take this all with a grain of salt, too. I make a living at my business, but I'm not a rich tycoon or anything. I never mean to be preachy; I just sense that you're going through some of the same stuff I did, so I share what little I can.
