in CD2: Urlacher suits up for Teague on The New Mexico Independent
I wonder what the Chicago Bears' management thinks about Urlacher wearing their team jersey while making this endorsement. By doing this, he's giving the impression that the team endorses Teague. On second thought, I guess that they're OK with it -- after all, he's apparently allowed to use the NFL logo when making political endorsements, judging by the photo above. What I'd like to know is where are the "adbuster" whiners complaining about product placement and celebrity endorsements with this one?

in Worn out roads on The New Mexico Independent
Maybe if they shut down the Rail Runner boondoggle, the Transportation Department could apply that cash to the roads . . . ? How many people actually ride the Rail Runner? How much does it bring in with fares, advertising, etc.? Will it ever break even?

in Count one more superdelegate for Barack Obama on The New Mexico Independent

All Obama is doing is promising to offer more taxpayer-paid "freebies" than Hillary. (Obama vs. Hillary) vs. the Manchurian Senator McClown isn't a choice at all -- it's just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. None of them will bring federal spending under control, and all of them will regulate as many aspects of the economy and Americans' private lives as they can get away with.

in It won’t be cheap on The New Mexico Independent
Just watch as the costs for health care go up so fast that they make Superman look like a slowpoke, if any kind of "universal" health care plan is passed and signed into law. Maybe if people didn't run to the emergency room for their "free" (taxpayer-pays) medical attention every time they got the sniffles or a splinter, health care wouldn't cost as much?
