this is so untrue - and you have been super unlucky - sorry to here, cuz of all people - you have a voice out there!

the on off button is super easy on mine and all othere I have checked on in the stores friday (well two stores here in the bay area) and have had no issues with the headset plug (a tight snug fit that just works ) so sorry you've had this unfortunate luck - fingers are crossed for your next one! a note - while in the store this time - give the phone a full test on all functions to avoide any more store visits.... iPhone Backup sometimes takes 20-30 minutes

YOU DONT NEED TO BACK UP EVERY TIME OR EVERY DAY - JUST CLICK THE LITTLE CIRCLE WITH THE X IN IT TO STOP THE BACKUP... AND CHECK OUT THE AUTO SYNCING IN YOUR PREFERENCES - TURN OFF IF YOU DONT LIKE THIS HAPPENING - THIS IS WHAT MIGHT BE TAKING THE ITUNES DOWN WHEN YOU TRY AND QUIT THIS BACK-UP...
