1. At a further prehearing conference held February 21, 2008, the Administrative Law Judge granted a continuance requested by Captain Cota due to ongoing difficulties with obtaining admissible evidence, to permit other matters to be resolved, and to ensure a fair hearing. Captain Cota, through his counsel, agreed that his state pilot license will remain suspended pending the completion of these proceedings. 2. The tentative hearing date of April 28, 2008 was vacated. The ALJ ordered a new hearing date of September 2, 2008. Current estimates for the length of the hearing is 15 days. The hearing will be held for four days each week until completed as follows: September 2 - 5, 8 - 11, 15 - 18, and 22 - 25. The hearing will commence each day at 9:00 a.m. and will be held in an Office of Administrative Hearings' courtroom in the Elihu Harris State Building, 1515 Clay Street, Oakland, California. 3. The hearing is open to the public. This notice of the hearing will be updated once the courtroom number is known. The length of the hearing is subject to change.
