Ya know, 'The Jefferson's' was one of my least favorite "black" shows. I love 'Good Times' and 'Sanford and Son' though and you can best believe that when a marathon is running of either of those two shows, then I am on it :-)

Did this actually happen to someone? I can not say they would've gotten money from me either. If they were not there to contribute and didn't advise anyone to do so on their behalf, why should they get some money from the winnings? The right thing to do is to withhold what does not belong to someone. Now if you chip in and get screwed over, that is another story obviously.

while i am not familiar with the glady's night song, i do dig the other two-i've heard them over a million times in my 29-years of living.

i haven't done 'OSF' in a minute, but i will resume one day soon. in fact i have not been here in some time either and you will have to forgive me for that :-) as far the video, i am only familiar with club nuveau's 'lean on me' and though i have heard the song that you posted, i didn't know it was done by them.

no you di'nt pull out 'heart'. that is my favorite song by them! that songs truly rocks! xscape put out some pretty good music when they were out too; 'just kickin' it' is a classic.

that is messed up! i am mad that no one helped the guy that was getting the breaks beat off of him.

first point of order. i like the new layout.

secondly, i saw terrance on '106th and park' sometime last week and they showed a clip of him performing somewhere and i wasn't impressed by his vocal skills at all. dude can play the grits outta the guitar, but he needs some vocal lessons to complete the package. just my humble opinion.

this beegee jam is the shiznit sis! there isn't a beegee song that didn't come out in the disco era that wasn't a hit! great pick!

i think as long as a man is proposing, i don't believe there is a such thing as a bad proposal. most women are just happy with the fact that the fool is doing it in the first place.

i know that my comment is mad late on the subject, but i just wanted to say how much i love michelle obama and i love her even more after listening to her speak at the DNC.

i too was very impressed by michelle's speech and delivery. she spoke with strong support, conviction, and passion and you gotta love a woman of color that can do that and do so gracefully. i know barack was proud to see her because i sure was.

Femininity is my favorite Eric Benet song; loved it when it dropped back on the radio back in 1997.

the obamas are a beautiful family and speaking of families, what is going on with morgan freeman!? i never really pictured him to be the type to be divorcing folks-he too old for that mess.

and even if fishburne is on 'csi' i won't watch it; there's too many of those annoying shows and they need to go off of the air.

sad news about morgan freeman, but they said that he was conscious and joking with the emt when they got him out of the car, so i am guessing that is a good sign. either way, i wish him well-we need this brotha!

i am still trying to get my head around how you forget your child! you forget sunglasses, but if you do not forget your purse, why would you forget your baby!? that's some freakin' "home alone" mess.

first off, let me say that i have my 'old school friday' ready to go...i am really excited about this weeks theme too.

i can really see will playing a good 'black panther' and there is no doubt that guy brings in the numbers at the box office. although i didn't see 'hancock', i heard it did well in the theaters.

and i truly have no words as relates to all of the anti-obama tactics. that brotha has really tough skin, because if it were me, then i would've been my hands around mccain's neck in an effort to make him dizzy.

estelle getty-this was crazy news! it's sad to say, but when she was on 'golden girls' she looked 84; seems like betty white would've passed by now too [not that i want this], but i guess she is holdin' strong.

what's up with kwame!? he definitely needs to take a good shot in the temple with the largest walnut out there...what a sad story for a young brotha that was in a good position to make changes. and katic couric can say this mess because she has not experienced racism; she fits the ol' "blonde hair and blue eyes" description so you know her opportunities are damn-near limitless. there are no sistas in her position, so she needs to be grateful and sit down.

there have been rave reviews about 'dark knight' and i guess i need to go and see what the hype is all about. 'the incredible hulk' is still my #1 movie...lol.
