in Last Call for Affiliate Summit Domain Auction on Affiliate Tip
Shawn,
It is so awesome that you're able to organize an amazing set of domains together in one place for such a great charity.
Well done, and thanks for being a great and inspriational individual!

in An Affiliate Done Wrong on Affiliate Tip
Shawn, if it's any consolation, it's actually sort of comforting to know that this junk happens even to you. Really hard to believe they dumped you. I posted about this at AffiliateAdvice on September 3, after Hammacher Schlemmer terminated me after 1 month of inactivity (though I had previously been a producer).
Then when I emailed them, they said that they would consider "letting" me re-join if I could share my plans for how I planned to expand their brand.
Yah... Not cool.
Anyway, rather than getting pissed (well, I was, but decided to do something constructive anyway), I came up with a guide for how an affiliate manager could deal with the situation of a non-productive affiliate.

Would love any thoughts.

Hi Shawn,
I posted a long response on here right after you posted this. Did you ever get it?
Thanks,
Jonathan

in Blank Generation of Internet Marketers on Affiliate Tip
I recently was on a Webinar for an Internet Marketing product that would help you generate trackbacks to your site.
I was actually interested in what it could do.
Then, I found out that what they were advertising their product could do is generate trackbacks to you, making it look like you had written about someone else's blog, without you ever writing anything about their site.
On the call, the direct quote from this scam artist was "So you will want to find the less-savvy blog owners who won't come to your site..." to make sure that you've actually written something about them.
Why would someone create junk?
Oh yah... in search of the almighty dollar.
Well, on the plus side, it does make it easier to stand out as a person who is doing good things, yes?
Thanks for commenting on this Shawn. As always, timely and insightful.

"May the best Apps win"
Thanks for having an attitude and mindset which focuses on abundance and production! This post could have gone the way of complaining that there are too many apps, and it's too much to maintain, and... etc.
Instead (as always), you take a really great abundance-based approach to the issue.
Thanks Shawn!
