in NYC, Drinking Coffee in a Starbucks at 1:20am on Technosailor
It's situations like this that they make credit cards for.
But I feel your pain. I only went to NYC once and nobody picked me up at the airport so I had to travel around at night alone waiting for the buses to start in the morning. Definetely not cool.

I just can't get excited about Digg, at all.
To me they're the most overrated website on the 'net.

in Democracy Plugin XSS Vulnerability ALERT on Technosailor
These plugins can be very dangerous. I think the Wordpress culture is to install as many plugins as possible without doing a ton of research.
This one is a very insidious exploit.

in Why Release Software Vulnerability Details? on Technosailor
I went public with the SEO problem, without much contact with the author.
Why? Because I wanted the site owners to be warned about a potentially damaging situation. It's their sites and they have the right to know.

Bloggers are people, just like journalists, with the same flaws and perceptions. The belief that bloggers can do a better job than journalists, just because of the nature of the media, is a dangerous one for bloggers to have.
Personally, I would have to say "citizen journalists" need to be held to a HIGHER standard than professional journalists.
