I believe 'join' will just make it a access point. I used mine in this mode for my XBOX 360 to connect to my network as well as playing stuff through my stereo. Extend does just that. Takes your WiFi signal and extends it further. For those with large areas to cover with a WiFi signal.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Journaler doesn't tie to blogs for blog maintenance does it? Maybe I'm missing it?

I have never used Journaler, I'll have to give it a try now for sure. (already downloading it now)

As for iPhone and WP. I use the wPhone Admin plugin and really like it. Is that what you're looking for?

I gotta be honest. I'm not a fan of 1&1 at all! Admittedly, I do not have extensive experience with them so I don't want to bash, but the experience I had with them on behalf of a client was not pretty. This is mostly due to the fact that I found their email and hosting backend so non-conformative to what would IMHO logically be what a backend would want to be like. I'm not "Captain UI" but it was so vastly different from what other hosts are doing and the crazy application settings I had to do to make my client's software communicate with their servers was out of control.

Now their hosting environment and pricing seem to be great and all that, but I just don't want so many steps every time I set up a site. But that's just me.

You know, I don't have any relief for you but I will say that the only time I opened iMovie '08, it crashed my Mac. I don't use iMovie for video editing ever but I relate to your pain. Sorry...

I know this is an old post, but anyone have any tips? I'd be interested as well

You know, I'm not sure really as I haven't used the Textmate Blogging bundle much. I think it's in a lot of ways the same, but I do like the fact that it pulls latest posts into a list for editing as well as the nifty live preview window. I have customized mine to look exactly like an iBAM post so I know what it will look like before I post. Saves me from the "Post/View/Oops/Edit/Save/Repeat" process I do VERY OFTEN when I'm posting. I think it's a little more window driven than TextMate's process.

Update: yep, it's official! Sticky Windows was the culprit. I'm so happy!

Well... I might be countin' my chickens before they're hatched but Craig might have hit the nail right on the head. At first attempt, it seems that this issue I'm having might be related to my running installation of Sticky Windows. I love this app too but if it comes down to one or the other, Twitterrific is the easy winner. Sorry Sticky, until you two play nice, I'm gonna leave you off. I promise to check back after every update.

I sure hope this was the fix, I'm really excited to be using Twitterrific again.

Anyone else out there using both these apps?

Thanks for stopping by! I totally figured that was the issue and I feel for you guys. You have an outstandingly stellar application there and I literally sit in anticipation waiting for your next release. On first attempt the tips didn't work as I don't have any of that stuff going on but I'm gonna look more into it and if 'm still stumped, you can count on that contact from me.

I dunno about Coda either. I tried it today and all it did was lock up. I'm so fast with Textmate. Is there a reason for someone who usually just types it all out to switch to one of these apps? Are they really faster?

I think the best way would be to reinstall iTunes as Quicktime comes with it. Also, try a system update.

Totally! it's kinda like my beef with (standard) schooling. You cram a bunch of students of the same age but different learning levels in a classroom and expect them all to learn everything at the same rate. It's just not working...

I seriously did pull her name! You gotta believe me!

Here's what I did:

I left my iPhone on all day and tracked "iboughtamac" so I got everyone's tweets. Then this morning I flicked at the list for about 5 minutes (up and down the entire length) then I gave it one final flick and stopped it with a poke. Dead center of my screen and under my finger was Justine's tweet.

Immediately I thought to myself... "Man, everyone's gonna think I rigged this" But then I thought: "Justine should be able to win stuff just like any of us." So I let it stand just as it happened. I know it's not a big deal, I just don't want people thinking I play favorites. It honestly came up just as I described.

I had a lot of fun meeting people yesterday so take that and add in the (unnecessary) guilt I feel for people thinking I rigged the contest and you have my reasons for doing it again today. It's all in good fun, but I do want you guys to feel that I have been fair.

So there... that's my take.
