Merry Christmas from Wall Street. Madoff will never be able to repay society for the staggering amount he stole

my initial thought upon hearing about Citibank's potential bankrupcy was, Yipee! this will cancel out the small fortune's worth of debt I have stored up on my trusty Citi-card... right?

from a PR standpoint, one might give Palin the benefit of the doubt... but seriously, she might consider her surroundings a bit more before she goes on interviews that millions will end up watching

Josh Brolin did a convincing Dubya, though he reminded me a lot of his cowboy character from No Country for Old Men... over all, i don't doubt that 'W.' will have the effect Oliver Stone desired

there were some awkward moments in this movie that were hard to get past... such as every time that gum was passed around (yuck!)

the VP debate was stunning. Palin did a decent job faking about 20% of the questions and didn't even bother answering the other 80%.

i couldn't help thinking of the end of the movie Billy Madison, when the debate moderator says to Adam Sandler, "Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

on that note, i think i'll eat my veggies this week and cut back on a few other things...

Brad Pitt can be so funny, as long as he's not taking himself too seriously... i could see how this movie would make good use of his, habitual, spastic arm movements

it's hard to object to the government's mass bailouts as similar debt-producing methods were put into action to bring the U.S. out of the Depression... our economy has been supported and driven by debt ever since

congrats to the makers of Dark Knight for their record breaking opening weekend... it's no wonder there's talk of another one coming out ASAP
