Teacher I thought the Cryptster might offer the #2 spoy to Hillary, if he could get the Mooster to go home & keep her baby. I temporarily forgot how much the Reds HATE Hillary. This is a scenario we don't have to worry about.

The dress she wore to the nomination speech was by Thakoon as well. She needs to put Thakoon in the back of the closet because it's not working for her. She CANNOT wear fussy prints and designs, she is just too large for them. The Thakoon dresses would look good on Cindy McCain, as she is much smaller than Michelle. But even Cindy sticks to solid colors and classic pieces, nothing busy, not a lot of fussy prints. Michelle needs clean, simple, classic pieces. She needs to stick with Maria Pinto, who has been designing some of the most well received outfits she's worn.

Or why not try a black designer?

You can vote absentee in VA. But you have to call your local registrar and ask for the ballot, they don't just send it to you willy nilly.

If you get an unrequested ballot, please let somebody know about it. And if your youngster is in college, they CAN vote. I know I voted absentee when I was in college and it didn't affect any loans or insurance or anything.

in What have YOU heard about GOP Voter Suppression? on Jack and Jill Politics
I don't have any links but I know they sent letters to VA Tech students telling them if they registered to vote they would lose their student aid and their parents' insurance would go up and I know the VA GOP is "concerned" about Voter Fraud and wants an investigation.

nickwah22 I ran into a woman who just moved to my state from Virginia. When we asked her if she changed her voter registration she said no because she was told in VA she would have to reregister her car and change her license. I was shocked that an EBW fell for this crap. But I at least I helped to set her straight. Hopefully she will mail in her registration card tomorrow.

Harry Reid wants Obama to hand over some of his money, since he's got so much. Obama said no, I need this money.

Just like with Hillary and her people demanding that Obama help them out of the $20 million she ran up when she knew she couldn't win.

Why isn't Harry Reid and 'em raising their own money? What is going on?

Maybe this is why you don't see that many Democrats out there riding or dying for Obama because he will not hand over his money to them.

99 Percent Sure's picture
99 Percent Sure Not surprised given that over half of Congressional Dems didn't support Obama during the primaries, including most of the CBC, mostly because of the ethics reform law that Obama and Lugar passed, but also because Obama has put the hammer down on their sell-out of the Ameican people for cash and perks, first by moving the DNC to Chicago, then by campaigning against the Congressional Dems' best buddies who've helped them acquire their wealth - lobbyists and PACs. It ain't just the repugs who love a lobbyist; Blue Dog Dems are in the pockets of a whole bunch of PACs, to the detriment of their constituents.

They continue to show their contempt for Obama by pulling stunts like this. Their reasoning being that since Obama has cut off their cash cows, and since he raises so much money from their constituents, he can/should now pick up the slack.

The lot of them are lousy lowdown Blue Dog Dems - most of the CBC, Pelosi, Hoyer and Reid, to name just a few, need to get primaried and/or get kicked out of office. Obama had better not give them one red cent of the money he's raised for his campaign.

However, he will raise an estimated record $9 million for the DNC tonight when he visits Greystone Mansion in BevHills for a $30K per person dinner event before heading over to the Beverly Wilshire Hotel for a Barbra Striesand event. They'll take that and like it.

Or not.

Obama made it, that's why it's not professional.

See, McCain can make an ad with a leering Obama staring at innocent white children with a voiceover saying that Obama wants to teach sex to your (white) kids, that's professional.

Obama makes an ad using McCain's own silly words that the "fundamentals are strong" even as the Dow reaches it's lowest level in 7 years, and that's unprofessional.

McCain can make an ad showing Obama morphing into a wolf to get at Sarah Palin, that's professional.

Obama makes an ad saying that McCain is old and out of touch, that's unprofessional and he should apologize to McCain.

McCain makes an ad saying that Obama is disrespectful to Sarah Palin, that's professional. McCain makes an ad saying that Obama disrespected Hillary Clinton, that's professional.

A Democratic 527 makes an ad with a POW sayign McCain shouldn't be anywhere near that red button, that's just wrong.

McCain and Palin blatantly lie about everything including the size of their crowds, the MSM feels no need to probe further. Obama says he wasn't in church on 9/11 for Rev. Wright's sermon, Hannity demands to see the church attendance rolls.

Obama's been front page news since Jan. 4th. But people still don't know much about him. Sarah Palin's been front page news for 2 weeks but everyone knows all they need to know about her.

See how this works?

Yes it is necessary to use "niggerize" to make my point. NIGGERIZE is the point. Why do you think people keep asking him about Farrakhan? Or linking him to Kwame Kilpatrick's mug shot? Why do you think people keep saying he's "uppity?" Why does the "inadequate black meme" keep getting floated around? Why do you think the McCain people have run ads showing Obama leering at tender, innocent white children? Or have him practically morphing into a big bad wolf attacking Little Red Sarah Palin?

I think your family members have valid points, but are they pressing John McCain hard as well?

What is John McCain's vision?

What about the groupie behavior displayed by Sarah Palin supporters?

What about John McCain's arrogance?

Is John McCain speaking to black issues? What is John McCain going to do about HIV in the black community?

The problem I have with questioning Barack Obama on black issues is that the same people questioning Obama on black issues are NOT questioning John McCain on the same issues.

If your family is wondering the same thing about McCain and concluding that neither McCain or Obama are meeting their needs, fine.

If your family is ONLY wondering about Obama while giving McCain a pass, then they are being haters.

White people want Barack to niggerize himself and come out at McCain and Palin like they've been doing to him.

It's not going to work because once he does that, the same white people who WANT Barack to become this angry black man will condemn him for being an angry black man. The same MSM who wonders why Obama isn't being stronger will then say that Obama is out of control and desperate.

I take daily trips over to Daily Kos, where people are screaming on 50-11 threads that Obama must slam the hammer on McCain or he's going to lose!

The Obama campaign releases the "1982" ad that states that McCain is outdated and out of touch, then they started screaming that Obama is being too hard on McCain and his hard hitting ad will backfire!

Barack knows full well if he gets out there snarking like Palin, the MSM will paint him as angry. All Howard Dean did was go "Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" in a fit of excitement and his campaign went down the toilet that day!

While I agree that Obama's ads need to have a bit more bite, I disagree that he needs to niggerize himself or show flashes of anger and snark. We all know gotdamn well the same white people screaming for Barack to be "angry" would turn around and demonize him for being angry.

Because Barack won't get out there and act a fool, everyone's calling him a weak punk. Even Mooselini claimed last night that Barack should have picked Hillary.

Everyone on this blog and in America knows that the minute Barack shows a burst of anger like they want him to, they will turn around and condemn him for showing a burst of anger.

Admiral_Komack If Barack Obama does what "everyone" asks, those same people will say, "Jeez, I didn't expect him to do THAT!"" "He's running for President, for christsake!" when he does what "they" want him to do.

This is the problem with Karmi in a nutshell:

He or she is so wrapped up in the concept that "WHITE IS RIGHT" that anyone who questions that concept "automatically" hates white people.

So that person must be destroyed.

Karmi will not regain his or her emotional equilibrium until Obama is destroyed.

The media is fully aware of racism because they are just as racist, and prejudiced and bigoted as the people they cover. They wrap their minds around it and understand it easily because they have the same feelings. The media is telling people "Don't vote for Obama because XYZ." The media is agitating, and frankly they can't be trusted as they were Bush's allies in pulling the wool over the American public's eyes about Iraq. The suburban white lady in Boondocks, PA might have had no problem voting for Obama even though he's black, but she's been told over and over again by the media that "suburban whites" aren't voting for Obama, and "hard working white people" distrust Obama, and white women don't like Obama because he's sexist against Hillary and Palin (even though she might not like Hillary OR Palin). Now the suburban white woman is LESS likely to vote for Obama because the MEDIA said not to vote for him.

The media understands fully well what they are doing and they will never be held accountable for it, just like they won't be held accountable for helping Bush lie about Iraq.

evita Town- the media is thousands of people. Can you really say that every person has that agenda? Or, can we say that many people do have that agenda, but there are people who are ignorantly complicit?

As long as we objectify the media we will not be able to unpack the issues that go into the systematic challenges that lend themselves to the larger issue of racism.

A lot of people say that Palin is insignificant and a distraction and shouldn't be focused on; McCain should be focused on.

If this were a different set of circumstances, I'd agree. If McCain were 10 years younger or had never had cancer or had won a triathalon last year, I'd agree.

But you have a presidential candidate who is on the old side, who has had health concerns who has chosen somebody to maybe replace him who is very ignorant and corrupt and totalitarian, and she must be carefully examined. It does call into question his judgement. Because of McCain's advanced age and past health concerns we MUST examine Sarah Palin as if she's also running for President.

If Tim Kaine were a Republican and McCain chose him, he'd be undergoing the same amount of grilling Palin is. It has very little to do with her having XX chromosomes.
