That's very brave! I couldn't post myself singing anywhere. You can hear that you've been crying, you need to relax your throat a bit more. Very nice though, and the laugh made me laugh! I've had the same effect from certain songs, I think it's related to having that one song you listen to on repeat. Very uplifting post, it's nice to find information on how to heal emotional hurts!!

*smile* thanks Amy.. And yeah, you're right my throat definitely needs a rest - I can feel it today. Too much use after years of never using it at all!

in What did you learn from your favorite mistake? on Carrie and Danielle
In my last year of schooling, I constantly felt like my teachers were boring me to death and so I often wouldn't turn up and I wold do my own reading and researching of what I was interested in. Let alone it being a risky way to treat school and I got into University by a hair, iI was also being really foolish because when I told them why I hated school so much, they were themselves thinking of how to teach for the the sake of learning and not for exams. They had already anticipated someone being frustrated by learning arbitrary and ridiculous things over and over again, but if I'd been a part of the processs earlier I might have been able to suggest things or start clubs or help out. Instead I just looked like an inconsiderate student who thought she knew everything and was entirely ungrateful for my teachers. Which I'm not! They were great.

This is why I'm going to study science! I never heard of cytokines! Gonna research them now. Obviously I'm no scientist yet, but can I still question your phrase 'even healthy people get cancer'? That some notion of healthy.
This article is interesting though as it does point out the failures of conventional medicine when used for cancer.

Yeah I can see how that would be better. I was born out of wedlock and my mother was kicked out of the house and told to get me adopted. I can already see where this could have affected my thinking about relationships and the like.

oh yeah, definitely.
I would take that kind of situation one event at a time - so tap them separately (unless you feel guided otherwise, of course). Just keeps it simple & clear.
.. and, you know, as usual, any weird things pop in your head, go with the flow, tap them out too :) heh, as I was writing the post, something that happened to my Grandad (on my father's side) popped in my head, something I hadn't thought about in years.. *nudge nudge from the universe* :)

What do you say? 'Even though my mother felt like __'? Even though this happened to my mother...'?
Really interesting post.

I just imagine that I'm her, in that situation, and tap "Even though I..."
That present tense reality makes it much more concrete, and seems to clear it out much more effectively than the more passive third person or past tense..

You interview was so helpful"
You mentioned your knees hurt when you run -have you tried barefoot running, in a foxwalk style?
It may be called free running, basically running and walking landing on the ball of you feet first, how children naturally walk before they adapt to shoes. I can run so much faster in a fox walk style, and I walk like that around the house without thinking about it but I still wear shoes outside :P

I personally don't see the negativity in the post at all. Sure there's some intensity to the discussion but that's what this blog and Anthony's life is about. If you don't like the blog you don't have to read it :) and the picture at the bottom with the caption 'Here's to the downfall of industrial civilisation' should let you know what kind of blog posts might appear. And yes the intensity and fervour can be scary but the idea of eventually not putting any money in the hands of big business or governments that have their own not so humanistic purposes (I dunno if humanistic is the word but whatever) and using the time you have now to educate and inform and share what you've learned is still worth reading. Again, no one's making you read this blog :p

in Beautiful World: 3 sites that inspire on We Like It Raw
I found this great video, of a Briisth comedian discussing oil, and the history of wars fought for oil and all the secrecy behind it. I know it doesn't really come into the catagory of inspiring. More illuminating, but it might be that being 18 there was still a fair proportion of these I didn't know. Of course things that aren't taught in school or college but still.

in 72 Year old Body Builder…can you guess his diet? on Yardsnacker
I love your blog, so inspiring, its 3am in the morning where I am, and I've just been reading non-stop lol.
I just felt compelled to comment on how they dismiss this guys diet! My grandad died at 50 and here's a guy at 72 with a body that looks better than any male I know at the ages of 30 and over! Gah!
