It\'s difficult to actually see anything in the ultrasound pictures most of the time, but hearing those heart beats (we had twins) for the first time is absolutely the coolest thing ever.

On a side note, I can\'t imagine getting one of those amniocentesis or CVS tests without a very good reason. I would be so terrified that I would be in the 1 in 100 or 200. Seriously, those are way too high of odds for me. Good job mentioning that. That would be a tough decision to make on the spot if you didn\'t know about it before hand.

Re: noodad » Top Tips for Announcing Your Pregnancy

Congratulations. I couldn't help but find it funny that there is an error in the Arabic graphic that opens the post, though. Akalty would be you (fem.) ate, not I eat. Maybe that will get covered in hour two. :)

###

LOL... some of the Arabic doesn't correspond to the English next to it. Most of that is by design, but there could certainly be some mistakes in there. On to hour 2... :)

Tim

Re: Former boss in the New York Times

I'm out in the west Chicago burbs, too. What is the real difference between a label and a folder? I never understood. They are both the same thing to me. You add a label, then you click on that label to see everything with that label. I don't really see the difference except that it is easier to apply multiple labels if you really want to than it is to file something in multiple folders.

Re: eBay Making its Move with Firefox/eBay Browser?

I might finally get my mother-in-law to switch from IE. But I guess that is a pretty normal PBS business model since they do that for their TV programs, too.

I also just checked and saw that this new pbskidsplay.org requires you to use IE on Windows and install some kind of executable. My kids are 3, so I have a few years until I have to worry about it. One of the things I don't like about those kid targetted phones is they never have the ability to be turned into real phones. If I had a 10-12 year old that I wanted a scaled down phone but new that in a year or two I would be okay with them having a real phone, I would be hesitant to buy anything. I want something like a V-Chip for cell phones, I guess. Does anything like that exist yet?

I know that most people replace their phone about every two weeks, but I keep my phones for quite a while.
