in Google Tasks Not Enough to Sour My Love for Remember The Milk on Marketing Pilgrim
I can't believe it took them this long to come up with some kind of ToDo list. I've been whining about it forever too.

I am so looking forward to using the collapsible navigation on my Asus Eee PC. It was always hard to scroll through the little box on the lower left before the change.

I use Chrome for almost all of my browsing. I use Firefox just when I want to Stumble something. I use IE just for work's Outlook web email.

in Over 70% of People Surveyed Don’t Enjoy Shopping Online on Marketing Pilgrim
Shopping for clothes online is horrible because of sizing issues but shopping for electronics, books, CDs, movies, etc where you don't need to poke it as much before buying is great. The search function of sites like Amazon is way friendlier than trying to find stuff on the shelves.

in Email and Romance - A Survey on Marketing Pilgrim
I didn't send an love email but I did send love blog posts since my wife was going to be stuck in the office all day. One each hour so she could check them throughout the day.
Also, I can't imagine people thinking it is okay to break up with somebody over email. I would feel pretty cowardly if I ever did something like that.

in PBS Gears Site to Preschool Children on Marketing Pilgrim
We've used the games on pbskids.org for ages now and the kids love it. The games, graphics and sound for the new site looks pretty impressive.
I have a couple concerns about this new project, though.
What is the difference between ads and a message from the sponsor and if they are taking money from sponsors it seems strange to also take money from users. But I guess that is a pretty normal PBS business model since they do that for their TV programs, too.
I also just checked and saw that this new pbskidsplay.org requires you to use IE on Windows and install some kind of executable. Not really a big deal but people not running Windows should probably be aware of that before getting their kids excited to go play the games.

in How to Learn (But Not Master) Any Language in 1 Hour (Plus: A Favor) on The Blog of Author Tim Ferriss
Fun article. I couldn't help but find it funny that there is an error in the Arabic graphic that opens the post, though. Akalty would be you (fem.) ate, not I eat. Maybe that will get covered in hour two. :)
###
LOL... some of the Arabic doesn't correspond to the English next to it. Most of that is by design, but there could certainly be some mistakes in there. On to hour 2... :)

in A-List Google Reader Back-Slapping on Marketing Pilgrim
I just made a list of blogs on my blog. But I was looking for other parenting blogs and asked the people that read my blog to add their own and the favorite one that they read. So it ended up being a nice little list of a lot of new blogs.
As for big lists of top bloggers making lists of all the top blogs, I never read them when they get posted. But I guess getting lists from people like Scoble would be good for SEO whether anybody clicks on the link or not.

in eBay Making its Move with Firefox/eBay Browser? on Marketing Pilgrim
Does IE 7.0 use up memory like Firefox? I always thought that was a problem with having 27 tabs open. The data from those tabs has to be stored somewhere.

I might finally get my mother-in-law to switch from IE. She runs a little eBay business now that she is retired.

in Google Upgrades Docs, Adds Folders on Marketing Pilgrim
I love the new google doc interface. All google needs is a good ToDo/Tasks type of thing to use with the calendar and I will hardly ever leave the google.com domain.
Jeremy, The gmail limit is up over 2GB these days.
Andy, I agree with Brian about the labels/folder thing. What is the real difference between a label and a folder? I never understood. They are both the same thing to me. You add a label, then you click on that label to see everything with that label. I don't really see the difference except that it is easier to apply multiple labels if you really want to than it is to file something in multiple folders.

Is there a reason they use bloglines counts instead of Google Readers considering a lot more people use Google Reader?
Is there a partnership with bloglines? Or are Google's counts not really public despite feedburner having access to them?

in Google’s Market Share Growth Stalls on Marketing Pilgrim
Do they factor in things like Technorati, icerocket, etc. when they come up with those stats? I'm sure it would be a pretty small factor, but I'm curious if those are considered real search engines in reports like this.

I refuse to take Checkout seriously until Google starts using it as an option to pay AdSense publishers. Why should I take it seriously if they don't?

in Paid Video Out, Ad Video In on Marketing Pilgrim
Ed, I agree with you, but there are plenty of videos from Netflix that have ads for other videos at the beginning that you can't escape from. If the ads are short and at the beginning so that they don't mess with the flow of the rest of the show, it would be bearable.

Thanks. It would be interesting to see what happens to the subscriber base when put into one of those little subscriber packs.

in Techcrunch RSS Subscriber Payola? on Andy Beard - Internet Business Systems Discussion
FYI. Google Reader does have some default subscription options. If you click on the browse link next to the add subscription on on the left sidebar, there are several generic categories, click on the more bundles. TechCrunch is in the Technology one.

in Google Gives-up Building Own YouTube Filters, Follows MySpace’s Lead on Marketing Pilgrim
I have uploaded exactly two videos. One very short video of each of my kids. I used YouTube but I haven't uploaded anything since around Halloween or even really used any of the video sites except for the videos embedded in people's posts.
If I want to embed videos of the kids in my site in the future, I will probably use YouTube because I am familiar with it and I would rather use their bandwidth and server space than mine.

in MyBlogLog Reacts to Boycott, Reinstates Shoemoney on Marketing Pilgrim
I've never used mybloglog but I'm sure there are some kind of rules in the people agree to when they sign up. Is there anything mentioned in the rules about not allowing what Shoemoney did? If not, then they should take it as a lesson learned and change their rules.

in “I’m so unsubscribing cause you’re inane” on Scobleizer
I'm with you all except for this:
"One last thought. Have you ever noticed that the most abusive commenters don’t have blogs of their own? I sure wish these readers who think they know how to do this so well would do a blog of their own so we could all learn from their greatness."
That's like people that say that those of us who never played football can never complain about the players or coaches in the NFL. You can no what you don't like without ever needing to know how it should really be done.
Keep posting what you feel like writing. I have the magic J key when it doesn't strike my fancy.
