in How do you lead when you’re afraid? on Scobleizer
Break the rules. The ones who are getting past this crap are breaking the rules and making it happen. I'm talking about adding a little noise to the simplicity. You can do anything if you stand up and look at things from a different angle.

in PR-less launch kicks off a stack overflow of praise on Scobleizer
You have to get users interested. That takes time. Being there to show you something great would be my first choice, always. Having users show it to you, even better. :-)

In the short term...I feel a tension about contacting you about what we do. I'd prefer it if you contacted us, that's for sure! But I would not contact you if what I was helping create lacked merit. So, I think there is a difference to consider. In that difference are the people who feel passionate about their product and at the same time are trying to build a user community. I feel like we fit in that camp. We have the goods. We have users who love our product. At this point, we have to reach out so more people know about what we do. Not to reach out just seems irresponsible.

So, just so you know, the tension is there for me, too. In contacting you and other bloggers, I am just hoping that you give us an honest look. We will smile with your satisfaction or listen intently to your criticism. That' show companies like iterasi grow and develop user communities that will be glad to tell the world how much they love what we do.

I have more to say in a short video I posted on my blog.

in 2008/04/23/mevio/ on Mashable - The Social Media Guide
I think back to the day in 2005 when Adam Curry and Dave Winer met in Miami with Ron Bloom and others. Their meeting blew up. They never went into business. It was messy. Curry and Ron Bloom went on to start Podshow. The company had a shadow over it from the start. I expect "mevio" will post a profit by year's end but Bloom's comments don't exactly demonstrate a lot of confidence about exponential growth.

RON BLOOM IS THE DEVIL Ron Bloom is a scumbag. He stiffs people on their pay checks then hides like a little bitch. 1 Million hours of content? Who cares 1 Million hours of crap is still CRAP.

I hope Bloom has to give back the money he blew to his investors.

Either that or maybe he should dye his hair a little more.

Grow up boomer...your on your way out.

in Google about to drop the other Enterprise shoe on Microsoft? on Scobleizer
This is a most welcome development. I use Google Docs more than most any work app. I just joined a company that is concerned about the security risks with Google Docs. It just does not meet enterprise standards.

I don't think this is a question of if Google is doing this but when. The enterprise market is opening again. Smart move by Google. Microsoft can not forever dominate the enterprise market as Google will not forever dominate search. To diversify at this point makes a lot of sense.

in Silicon Valley moments… on Scobleizer
Great post in the context of Milan's life in terms of our past and future tech advancements. Judy and I are thinking of you and wish you all the best. And how wonderful to have Patrick there with Dave W. It's clear you are all a very tight bunch. How awesome that will be for Milan and everyone else as he grows up and the advances in our lives keep screaming along.

in Facebook wall update coming tonight on Scobleizer
Robert -- What strikes me is how young these guys are. The dude who leads the video team is 21? It is one of the most elegant and simple to use video apps you will find. It's almost as if this group of young people represents a first wave of technoligical intuitiveness that will keep washing over us as more teenage developers bring their skills to the web space.

I am curious - did you talk about RSS and how they view it? Why is RSS non-existent, except in the applications?

in I don’t just “use” the Internet, so why am I a user? on Scobleizer
User is as bas as content, which is about as awful as facility, only worse would be "utilize the content generator facility."

Poor word choice leads to poor writing. The discussion should not be about what words we use but how we use them.
