KingSupremeHydro No no, thanks for reading. We welcome the criticism. You are totally right, mail order marijuana IS ILLEGAL in Canada. Stupid oversight on my part. We really need a Canadian on our staff....But I'll definitely update this post.

Thanks for the fake bud suggestion. Thats definitely going on the future topic list...

in 6 words to transform your results! on Jim's Marketing Blog
ill agree with you. and note that fun is key to using any social media. how can u possibly have fun with 20K Followers. its like going to a convention and not really meeting people. i enjoy the people i meet i Twitter and elsewhere in social media. smaller numbers but good connections are better. as those folks will retweet or pass along something they feel is important to their more dedicated smaller following too.

in What if someone sees this? on Jim's Marketing Blog
a friend was fired via FaceBook. as in they found out when the manager posted the information on FB. not cool. all this can be managed via privacy options. something i need to consider. but it has made keeping track of my friends relationships that much better. lastly what about working unconventional work hours?

in Twitter and me on Jim's Marketing Blog
welcome back! i missed yah. oddly i was going to stop by with a comment that i had stopped following your blog as closely b/c lack of Tweeting when your newsletter arrived. you're just too good at branding yourself Jim. too good. you spent just enough time away for me to miss you. and poof you return. lastly DM on Twitter isn't a good communication tool at all. Twitter to me is all about letting it all hang out publicly. (though information control is grand too:) join the conversation and follow up via email.

in Email Marketing Still a Great Small Business Tool on Duct Tape Marketing
i'm building a small targeted email list. this is something i'm going to consider trying versus installed software packed on site server. hmmm. as long as the email is valuable people will return.

thanks for the information. its true its much better to hit ten people with money than ten people without. unless the people without have internet access and read websites than you still want to attract them too. right?

in Great free advertising on Jim's Marketing Blog
the Twitter idea is grand. how about endorsements? lending your reputation to another reputable person's service. same idea as the site button, but a little different. then your reputable choices add credence and u can dole them out as u see fit. this might work very well for the unregulated industry im in.

in Google and me! on Jim's Marketing Blog
i stared and continue to add what i call 'google words' to my articles. my friends say, 'you don't use those words' and i explain people who do searches do. it's all in how u use the words to enhance your writing. though this idea of contributing every day to your own site is nuts. during the holiday i wasn't as regular. google didn't effect me at all either.

in Trust your instincts on Jim's Marketing Blog
i go a little too far on relying on gut feelings. if it doesn't feel right i don't proceed. of course as a taboo marketer i've learned to rely on on instinct prolly a little too much to determine whether to go ahead with a potential client. had the same issue the other day. funnily i had a project to complete. the client called to say i must have been a little 'asleep' as it wasn't the stellar material they're used to. funny i told myself the same thing before submitting it. didn't feel done. imagine their surprise when i agreed immediately it wasn't my best work. though i told them even i have an off day. but big enough to admit.

in Unsexy blog posts can be valuable too! on Jim's Marketing Blog
how about desiring an audience? i get satisfaction from people reading and commenting on my writing. the numbers help me tell the audience size. currently rather small but growing fast thanks to google. im putting into practice a new style to attract people via google. so im all about the audience. thus it needs to be sexy.

in Open for Questions: Response | Change.gov: The Obama-Biden Transition Team on rtfa.net
i'll agree with the one line sentence response being a complete brush off. though Obama did make it appear he was soft on marijuana. he's broken the bong, so to speak, before even taking office. if he doesn't favor tax and regulate what does Obama favor? cutting the DEA budget would be an improvement.

in Quick Tip - Strategic marketing on Jim's Marketing Blog
developing long term vision is often difficult for the person who is working day to day. someone who can see the big picture will help in planning 2009. i just did mine. whole year over a sunday afternoon. hiring an outside professional who can help guide you through 2009 planning will make the day to day very enjoyable as you see success roll in.

in Want To Know Why Twitter Keeps Going Down? They’re All Stoned on The Inquisitr
are you serious? they probably need the herb to keep from stressing about the popularity of their program. cannabis never harmed anyone. it's better they be a little high than drunk. which is way worst for programming skills. i for one am glad they love the ganja at Twitter.

fascinatingly i've received two assignments from Twitter via mutual follows. its a great social tool. yes Tweets can be misunderstood. ppl need to develop thicker skin if they intend to live in the public realm. or better yet monitor themselves and be a leader in positive commenting or in this case Tweeting. there's nothing wrong with polite!
