The SCA crowds in Elmington seem to be getting bigger and better-armed every Sunday. It's gotten to where I'm scared to ride my bike by for fear of being maced. With a real mace.

As one of the few folks who have actually left comments before there were freebies on the line, I certainly hope the Gods of Random Number Generating will smile upon me! 8^)

Of course Bredesen did spend $10 million on a governor's mansion that he won;T live in because it's crappier than the house he already owned when he was elected...

But I'm not one of those crazy right wingers who g nuts over the bunker. I do believe Tennessee's executive mansion should be presentable. I'd say the same thing about the clubhouse in a state park.

I'm pretty sure Bredesen has refused to take any salary since he was first elected, so there's not a lot of savings to do there.

Ironically, I can't see the picture of Kenny Chesney's "girlfriend," because it is obscured by a Plumgood Foods ad touting deliveries on Saturday. Not this Saturday.

Correction-the Titans/Oilers are 8-7 vs. those dirty birds of Baltimore. We've won two of the last eight going back to 2000. Not stellar, but not an oh-fer either.

And we should add one more win next weekend. Go Titans!

I got to do the ride along in Vegas as part of a convention I was attending. We had extra passes in our group so I rode twice. the second time the driver asked how close I wanted to get to the wall and before I could answer he slid up and brushed it.

I'm not sure if it was a scream of horror or a squeal of ecstasy, but they couldn't wipe the grin off my face for a half hour.

Now you've got me pumped to do the whole schmeer.

That was truly epic. Great job, guys! A fitting tribute for a wonderful lady. Who apparently has invented the ultimate gadget she's not sharing with the rest of us...a machine to stop aging.

Yet, in Brazil, they spell it "Brasil." Why don't we just spell it like they spell it? It's not like we couldn;t read it or pronounce it. I never understood other countries' (USA included) need to translate foreign names into their own native language.
