StormAdvisory (http://stormadvisory.org/map/atlantic/), a Google Maps mashup that allows you to pick which of this season's storms to plot and overlay.

Check it out, you’ll be glad you did.**

Unfortunately, Google doesn't yet support this option for Google Apps accounts, or at least it's not in the Settings tab.

http://beerhunter.ca/ is a mashup of Google maps and information on where you can buy beer in Ontario, Canada close to you at the current time -- since our alcohol sales are restricted to government stores, this is an essential tool for a Sunday evening when you need to stock up!

Great site, Jevon, looks like it will be useful. Although any *real* Torontonian would know that there's a subway stop at Yonge and St. Clair, and that 21 St. Clair West is right beside the subway since numbering of east/west streets starts at Yonge. :)

First of all, I can't believe that you would write "is [insert any software startup here] still an all-male team" -- unfortunately, startups are still one of the bastions of the boys' clubs, and I generally see much more gender discrimination (both in hiring practices and attitudes/behaviors) in small software startups than I do in larger organizations.
Secondly, give a guy a visual distraction while he's standing up peeing at a toilet (as opposed to a urinal)? That's a recipe for having to clean the bathroom several times a day.

In response to "So What" (how clever -- hiding anonymously behind my own comment!), I'm not going to Gnomedex because it's too general of a technology conference, and because I'm independent and pay my own expenses, it's not worth travelling across the country for. I save my travel budget for business process management and collaboration conferences, especially when I'm speaking, or events like Mashup Camp.
I'm also, however, not going to the mesh conference here in Toronto because of their absence of women speakers combined with the conference organizers smug comments to me about it, such as "well, the tech industry *is* all white guys" as one of their reasons for selecting all male keynotes.
I'm not being explicitly excluded, I'm voting with my feet (and my blog).

One problem that I'm seeing in women speakers at tech conferences is the completely "so what" attitude by the (male) conference organizers, which I experienced first hand with one of the organizers of an upcoming Web 2.0 conference in Toronto: http://www.sandyofftopic.com/2007/03/playing-in...
Lack of women speakers translates to some degree to lack of women attendees. For any given technology topic, it's possible to find women of equivalent knowledge and stature to the men who are being asked to speak; however, you have to *want* to find them.

in Hey, my dad has a barn — let’s put on a show on Mathew's comments
Just finished attending MashupCamp, and highly recommend that as a format for a conference, or rather, an un-conference. No fee, no keynotes, no panels, all attendee-driven.
