frankly, i quite like ur "heavily cloaked in confusing vagueness" rants, cos i think the vagueness gives a mysterious aura to the posts ;)

although ppl who blog from overseas blog for themselves most of the time, i can also see that a lot of them blog for others. i suppose in ur case, u may feel "compelled" to blog for your throngs of readers at times when u're in the states, but seriously, the center of attraction in ur writings is not wat u think ur readers like to read, but ur profound honesty. plus, most places overseas are good, conducive environments for some serious soul-searching (although nyc may have too many distractions ;p)

call me katak di bawah tempurung but wat's pvd?? my understanding is pvd = peripheral vascular disease, but i'm sure that's not the case in ur context ;p

intellectuals on the bloodtype diet. seriously??! (i know, ur answer is gonna be: seriously.) ;p

u have brilliantly summarised every detail that i have come to observe in the workforce (and, by extension, society). it is a hard blow, to realise that the rose-tinted glasses u once wore to view the world had slipped from the bridge of ur nose-- and u weren't even aware of when it happened until much later, when the true colors of the world jolts u from ur trance, and u discover that not everything is as rosy as ur tinted glasses made them seem to be.

and if i may give u some advise, my dear young muse: pls dun start taking slping pills just yet. i'm sure there must be a way to restore ur circadian rhythm thru the non-pharmacological route.

everyone's pretty much said wat i wanna say abt adapting and stuff. but i can totally relate to how u feel abt *that* spot in KLIA, abt leaving ur loved ones behind into unchartered territory, abt stepping into uncertainty... trust me, even after being in oz for 6 yrs, whenever i make my annual trips home and thr comes the time when i have to leave, i still get that unshakable feeling of gloom.

but, like jeff said, being away makes u discover who u are. u grow, and u mature, and it makes u realise that ultimately, nothing beats the love and comfort u've always taken for granted from ur family. so. watever it is, try not to be hard on ur dad, k? *hugs* :>
