Very exciting! Are you aware of any other more formal (ie. not coffee shops, but actual spaces) in Boulder?

in Be Political on Andrew Hyde
You make great points, but the problem with most people is that they don't follow your rule #2 - be respectful. I'm very interested in hearing thoughtful and interesting commentary and info from all sides of the political spectrum, but what I don't care for are attacks on candidates and parties. Additionally, most people are simply not open minded enough to listen to all sides even if they've made up their minds. This is where people start alienating others and the likely reason why the strategist said to avoid political commentary on your blog. For many, it may be safer to keep quiet. It's sad and I don't necessarily agree with it, but it's likely true.

in Future of WordPress and Movable Type on Tom Markiewicz
Anil,
I think I misspoke in my post. I should have written that I don't necessarily see the distinct advantages of MT over WordPress for business use. This is different than what I wrote which implies there are no benefits for business. I can see numerous blogging platforms excel for businesses in this market. My only caveat is that I am starting to see a distinct ease of use between those tools like Movable Type that are blogging centric as opposed to Drupal where blogging was added on.
I think what it will come down to is both the size and technical proficiency of a company's IT staff. How big are they? Do they need dedicated support? What technical biases do they have? (i.e. if its a Microsoft shop, they may be more inclined to implement a .NET based blogging application.
Overall, I only take exception to these "holy wars" that often have in IT. Windows versus Unix. SQL server versus Oracle. You get the point. Some people just get it in their head that there is only one right tool for the job and that is just simply not the case. I think there is plenty room for multiple blogging applications. It benefits everyone to have more successful platforms.

in The Drupal dilemma on Tom Markiewicz
True, it does sound simple, but I found nothing is particularly easy with Drupal.
I plan on documenting my steps and any scripts I write to accomplish the migration and send it over to the WordPress folks.
WordPress is is great software and I'd love to help anyone else in this same situation.

in Blackberry 7100t from T-Mobile on Tom Markiewicz
The keyboard works quite well for me, though I had the advantage of this being my first BlackBerry. From what I've read elsewhere, it appears that a large portion of existing BlackBerry users didn't like the new keyboard which is understandable. I would prefer the old keyboard, but I was willing to compromise for the size. That said, it actually works great. I just type away and rarely have to re-type or make adjustments. The SureType is incredible. I've been very impressed.
