Most big video walls are made with multiple rear-projection displays, which allow for thin bezels because they are just a screen in a frame with the projector behind it. Plasma and LCD direct-view displays have their pixel-addressing connections on the sides on the picture, which is why you can't just take them out of their housing and butt them together.
