in No One Wants To Own Up To Racism In Transformers on /Film
i thought they were more like a "larry the cable guy" in his speech and mannerisms, and that was going into the movie after reading all these comments. i tried to see it, but just couldn't, i think alot of things we see what we want to see or come to an conclusion of what something looks like based on current "on the table" discussion. if you want you could also say that the robot that humps her leg could be seen as a stereotypical old fu-man-chu chinese man in his speaking and mannerism ... but thats something someone i was with saw and maybe noone even thought of it that way or it wasn't even there. it may not been correct but that is his opinion on what someone of that character stereotypically acts like.
just my two cents for anyone who cares to read it , but i think the bigger picture that i went home with was that the movie is about beating the bad guys, saving the world, and the ability to work together for the greater good.
if you don't like what i had to say, or think its unintelligent or ill worded, don't reply to it, i doubt i will read the responses after i post this. like i said i just wanted to post my two cents

T, I did just check for the Black Label Society show on March 3rd! WOW, now thats awesome! I will be there! You are right, 96Rock does not play them so I can't see the show being to crammed!

T! I agree buddy! Before I went to SIRIUS, I used to stream Rock 105 online since 96Rock sucks! Dave Trip there program director used to hook me up w/ requests since I told him I was streaming there station! Now thats a rock station! You are correct, the jacksonville area does have good shows, like Hatebreed last year! I wish I could have gone and seen NONPOINT! Great band BTW!

I turned on 96Rock here at work for the first time in months since I have SIRIUS! WOW, it is soooo frickin BORING! Same old songs! Surely they are playing SAFE tunes and not exploring new bands and taking risks playing Slipknot, Mudvayne or Black Label Society! I can understand it being a business and trying to appeal to the older folks?
To those who listen to this old crappy station, are u tired of hearing these old " SAFE " tunes? For me, it simply sucks! Even the DJ's are lame!

SDG1970 You are correct! They might as well become a classic rock station! I gave up on raleigh FM radio months ago, basically when 96.1 started to annoy me w/ continual playing of the same classic rock bands and the annoying old 90's rock! Why not a little more NEW ROCK every now and then! I joined the other's and got SIRIUS and have not turned on FM radio in 5 months now!
