Rockin' commentary! I am very much behind what he's saying. And indeed the good will come together and have the power to keep things moving in a positive direction. The bad...well...they're normally none too eager to be in front of the camera anyway. Maybe they'll turn good! :-)
Great post, and good points! I got this add this weekend as well. I chose not to return the add, as it seems a bit unscrupulous at best.
To be fair to the Tweeter you mentioned in your post, this new trend strikes me as perhaps a difference of opinion in the ways that networking can be fruitful. But I'm still not going to add them, because it's pretty clear that it's a marketing stunt, disguised as a personal conversation.
It's also confirming that there are a lot of agencies out there who don't get social networking.
This is indeed creepy. And the way that it adjusts to changes in its relatively smooth path (e.g., the kicking and the snow-walking) makes it creepier. At least you can hear it coming. I rue the day when that puppy can approach silently.
TweetScan actually does a great job of indexing..as long as you do it relatively soon after the question is asked. Enter @chrisbrogan into Tweetscan.com. Pretty cool.
