The idea of doing a monthly thing is a great idea. I love burgers, but I don't know that I can eat 5 in a day.

Popburger is good, and would make for a good second stop since the burgers are small. Dumont is really quite great - and actually not such a bad trek since it's only two stops into Brooklyn on the L.

I thought Rare was awful, actually. Their fries are amazing but the burger was awful. I hear great things about Paul's right off of St. Mark's, but their service is horrible, so if speedy is necessary, that's out. Kool Bloo is run by the people who run BBQ Pit, and their burgers are amazing and huge. If I eat one, I usually don't need dinner. Last time I ate there, I had a burger with onions, grilled ham and American cheese. Sigh.

also, yeah, I think the hypersexuality of this album is part of what puts me off, too. it was refreshing to see a band that could be sexy without overtly bringing sex into the picture. I like it more with each listen, but I still think they could be better than what's here.

For anything other than "Mr. Splashy Pants" to have a shot, you'd need to pick a single other name to unite for - not just say "vote for anything but Mr. Splashy Pants."
